speculative tracing on nevada builds ?
Hi, Has something related to speculative tracing changed between s10 FCS and the more recent nevada builds ? I was trying the specopen.d script from the Dtrace guide on a nevada machine and it failed with : dtrace: failed to enable ''./spec.d'': DIF program content is invalid To try and narrow things down a bit I wrote the following short script. This works fine on s10, but

Fail kerberos method = secrets and keytab and net offlinejoin requestodj
Hello everyone, For the context, I'm trying to add support for offline join in WAPT WADS OS deployment [1]. Currently WADS supports offline join of Windows computers, and I want to add support for Linux computer using SSSD as a authentication client (for the persons who might dismiss this mail because of a certain keywords, yes it is related to sssd, but it triggers a Samba bug)....

Gosub behavior change <=1.6.0.5 to 1.6.0.6
-----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1 Here's one that may be of interest to any upgraders. If you rely on the behavior of gosub you may want to make note of this change. I have an incoming call context: exten => _XXXX,n,GoSub(incoming,${EXTEN},1(${EXTEN})); that is supposed to gosub into the incoming extension at priority 1. Versions before 1.6.0.6 would drop into the

DSD Approved Products
Hi, I am considering installing several `servers' in a facility that needs to conform with the products listed at: DSD Approved Products http://www.dsd.gov.au/infosec/evaluation_services/epl/dap.html As far as i can see freebsd performs above and beyond, for all the required criteria in the act. Can we see freebsd listed as an approved product in the near future? Best Regards, Jason - RF

Hello Rowland, Thank you very much for your support so far. Now I could join. But: Now I have a problem with the DNS. I use the samba internal DNS. Digit timeouts vs includes in diaplan
Hi, I have a little situation with my dialplan, and I am wondering if what I want is even possible. Here it is: I have three contexts, context1 includes contexts2, and context2 includes context3. In other words, in context1 all extensions of context2 and context3 are valid (and actually working, so that's good). I am using those context for the sake of code clarity and reuse, and for

Samba 3.3.4 Umlaut in Share comment
Hi, I just upgraded from 3.0.32 to 3.3.4 on Aix 6.1, and noticed that a 'net view' command from a windows xp workstation fails with a system error 1745. The share works perfectly fine, just the net view command doesn't. This occurs when there is an umlaut in the comment line of the share. Is this WAD? here are the debug lines...from Samba 3.3.3, but it's the same error. Thanks,

UNSUBSCRIBE
Marcus, I did try to do that several days ago, got the email, confirmed my desire to unsubscribe, and wad told that my "request would soon be acted upon" Yet I continue to get these messages. I'd love to have just a way to receive only message chains where I either started the question or am contributing. I don't need to see ALL the comms on the list, however this old-school

Can I use printa() for printing multiple agg regations?
Hi Bryan, > Does that sit well with everyone? Seems fine to me. Just revisiting one of Dragan''s points, though (sorry if I missed the answer) - is there a reason for making this global (via a #pragma) rather than, say, simply providing two functions which print in the different orders? e.g. printa() for sort by sample, printak() for sort by key. My reason for wanting to do both in

Re : Ambisonics in Ogg Vorbis
>I have been giving some thought to how to include Ambisonics in Ogg Vorbis. As I understand it, mapping type = 1 was meant from the start to indicate an Ambisonic stream. The only other information required is the number of channels which thanks to Mr Leese's clever trick tells us exactly which Ambisonic channels are used up to 3rd order. __________________ >The channel coupling

DNAT Security Hole?
# shorewall version 3.2.1 SNAT is enabled. Setting up DNAT to do port forwarding -- this example looked exactly like what I wanted: (FAQ 1c) From the internet, I want to connect to port 1022 on my firewall and have the firewall forward the connection to port 22 on local system 192.168.1.3. How do I do that? In /etc/shorewall/rules: #ACTION SOURCE DEST PROTO DEST PORT

[Fwd: [networking-discuss] code-review: fine-grained privileges for datalink administration]
Crossbow team, The following is of interest to the Crossbow project. Since a large chunk of these changes also exist in the Crossbow gate, the delivery of this wad will result in fewer lines of changes for Crossbow''s delivery. If someone on Crossbow could participate in this review, that would be a bonus (Eric Cheng made original changes in the Crossbow gate at some point last year).
