FW: Headless operations
...-- From: Chris Miller [mailto:Chris at InfoGreat.com] Sent: Monday, April 06, 2009 02:05 To: Miller, Shao Subject: RE: [syslinux] Headless operations Hi Folks, I trimmed my EXTLinux.conf to one stanza, as suggested. Then I use my newly acquired knowledge of the virtual terminals and I peeked at VT4. I saw some interesting things: This is probably meaningless, since it is true that this machine has no floppy... FATAL: Error inserting floppy (/lib/modules/2.6.27.5-117.fc10.i586/kernel/drivers/block/floppy.ko.gz) No such device And I saw network interface activity: NetworkManager (eth0) de...

CentOS 6 DVD install "Unable to read group information from repositories"
Tried my first CentOS 6 install on a system currently running 5.6. My attempt was not an upgrade, but a full re-format. I have verified the checksums of the ISO and did the pre-install disk verify and everything checked out. So with that assumption I imagine a platform that would not get involved with the

Re: [Asterisk] GSM access
Hi Mark Did you or anyone else ever find a satisfactory solution to this? Are there any phones which provide voice through the serial connection? What about the nokia card phone - does it have open source drivers? Cannot start a secondary Xserver with resolution 6480x3840
Hi, thank you very much for your reply. I will explain my use case in more detail. First thing is to note that it worked with nvidia (apart from this annoying system freeze which happened roughly every three months). > First off, you're not using the nouveau ddx, you're using the > modesetting ddx. This isn't a problem in itself, but if you're going > to report bugs,
