trivial bug - or feature request
using simple menu and a timeout, and no menu default; if I choose forex the 3rd boot-target, but dont hit return, it will timeout, and reset the selection to thte 1st (default) boot target. another timeout, and it boots that 1st target. it seems more appropriate to either a. end the timeout, and just wait for the user (grub, lilo do this iirc) b. boot the manually selected target when timeout happens. this is with 3.08-pre10, -pre7, and probably all others...

Problem with smbmount and Windows XP
My apologies if this has been brought up before. I've searched the archives of the mailing list and haven't seen a reference to this problem. I'm using 2.2.2-12 on Debian to smbmount a Windows XP share. It behaves kind of funky though. I can lis thte files. I can sometimes create files. I can sometimes edit files. But sometimes it will say "Permission denied". The really weire thing is that it seems like every other time I try to edit file it happens. So I open vi, I make changes, I get "Permission denied". I close vi. I op...

[LLVMdev] [Proposal] Speculative execution of function calls
Hello, Chris requested I start a fresh discussion on this, so, here goes. The previous iterations can be found here (and in follow-ups): http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvm-commits/Week-of-Mon-20130722/182590.html http://lists.cs.uiuc.edu/pipermail/llvmdev/2013-July/064047.html Cutting to the chase, the goal is to enhance llvm::isSafeToSpeculativelyExecute() to support call instructions.
