SELinux error message on CentOS 5: "multiple same specifications"

Oracle Instant Client 11g on CentOS 5 (32-bit) workaround
...was happening. It turns out that most of the shared libraries Oracle installs need to have their SElinux file context modified to allow relocation. Here's the quick-and-dirty routine I use to repair this: find /usr/lib/oracle/11.1.0.1/client/lib -type f -name \*.so\* \ -exec chcon -t textrel_shlib_t {} \; Obviously you could get around this by disabling SElinux, but I really want to avoid that if possible. Now a quick question: does anybody know if there is any way to configure SElinux so that the context for these files won't be "fixed" by a restorecon operation on this di...

Funny stuff in SELinux -- /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2.#prelink#.4GxqM1
...elink#.4GxqM1 to use relocation as a workaround, until the library is fixed. Please file a bug report (http://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/enter_bug.cgi) against this package. Allowing Access: If you trust /usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2.#prelink#.4GxqM1 to run correctly, you can change the file context to textrel_shlib_t. "chcon -t textrel_shlib_t '/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2.#prelink#.4GxqM1'" You must also change the default file context files on the system in order to preserve them even on a full relabel. "semanage fcontext -a -t textrel_shlib_t '/usr/lib/libGL.so.1.2.#prelink#.4GxqM1'&q...

Cannot get wine working under Fedora 6 test 1
...that when I want to wipe all the wine binaries for a new clean install I can do so easily) I relabled the security context of all the /usr/bin/wine/* and /usr/lib/wine/*so files (e.g. -rwxr-xr-x root root system_u:object_r:wine_exec_t /usr/bin/wine/wine -rwxr-xr-x root root system_u:object_r:textrel_shlib_t /usr/lib/wine/activeds.dll.so ) but I still get a "wine_main_preload_info not found" from wine when it starts. The Wine source leads me to believe this is because Wine is not able to load the wine-preloader. I've check to see if I have any audit denies and I am not seeing any in t...

FYI CentOS-5, SElinux and OpenOffice-2.3
...* If OpenOffice.org is started from the command line, the error message no suitable windowing system found, exiting. is displayed and OpenOffice.org exists immediately. The best resolution so far consists in setting the proper security context: execute (as root or with sudo privileges) # chcon -t textrel_shlib_t libvclplug_gen680li.so.1.1 in the program directory in your OOo installation. A more radical resolution is disabling SELinux altogether (requires root/sudo privileges): * Command line (as root): # setenforce 0 * GUI: System -> Administration -> Firewall and SELinux -> set "P...
