SWAT adds suffix

Hi,
~ I just tried SWAT that comes with Samba 3.0.0, it keeps appending
the ldap suffix to the user,group and computer suffix and thus
corrupting my smb.conf

icecast and smp

Hi,
~ I have just installed Ice cast and I really like it. I want to
stream a radio station which expects 6000 concurrent listener. I was
thinking of using an SMP machine with Linux running.
Does Ice cast make use of SMP, does anyone have sizing references .

DVB audio stream
Hi,
I am trying to broadcast a radio station with the source being the
station's transmission on DVB (satellite), has anyone tried installing a
DVB card in a Linux box and feeding the stream to Icecast ?

Need mount -t smbfs to be world/group writable & not only root
Hi,
Need some pointers.
Currently using
mount -t smbfs -o username=xxx,pasword=xxx //servername/sharename /mnt/share
Since I can only mount as root, (not in /etc/fstab)
sudo mount -t smbfs -o username=xxx,pasword=xxx //servername/sharename
/mnt/share
Problem here is.. I can't get group or world writeable permission on the
share. It's a NTFS share but that is not a problem. I can

smbpasswd problem
...t_Pwnam(), username as lowercase is user
Trying _Get_Pwnam(), username as uppercase is user
Checking combinations of 0 uppercase letters in USER
Get_Pwnam_internals didn't find user [user]!
Failed initialise SAM_ACCOUNT for user user.
Failed to modify password entry for user
Any ideas ?
