Beeps and noises during calls
I have a very annoying problem that we hear on our end, but the other party doesn't hear. There are random beeps and echo type noises that occur. They are present during voicemails, and present on my end during calls. Is anyone experiencing the same deal? I have asked this a number of ways on the list, and never get a response... Thank you. host lookup while printing
...re a way to disable it? I'd like to change my name resolve order back to something sensible, but can't afford to reintroduce a 10-20 second delay every time someone wants to use the printer. The client just hangs during this delay (Yay windows networking drivers!). I thought the 'talkback' socket might be produced by the underlying printing demon, CUPS in this case, but disabling cups still produces the socket attempt, so it seems like it's coming from something internal to Samba. Anyone have any ideas? Dave

[ANNOUNCE] developer journals / planet.netfilter.org
...on people.netfilter.org, let me know. You don't have to be a developer, even if you're a user or you just want to rant about all the bugs in netfilter, we're fine with that[2] :) Cheers, Harald [1] strictly speaking, I'm talking about journals, since blogs ought to have a talkback/comment function [2] within certain limits -- - Harald Welte <laforge@netfilter.org> http://netfilter.org/ ============================================================================ "Fragmentation is like classful addressing -- an interesting early architectural...

Dovecot-alpha1 and Thunderbird Sent problems
I have dovecot 1.0alpha1 setup in a semi test environment running on Solaris 2.6. When using Thunderbird 1.0.6 from Windows occasionally the client will hang after sending a message and before copying it to the Sent folder on dovecot. Sendmail logs indicate that the message has been sent correctly. The mail directory is not shared over NFS. It is in maildir format. Restarting Thunderbird and

This is generally not a problem. Can I ask why you care? :) jack. --- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from

Who is going to AstriCon (TheAsteriskConference)?
Well I'm stunned no one has suggested a webcast option. I mean we aren't talking a bunch of people unable to grasp the concepts of chat/voice/vision sessions with a log in/remote display capability. If you think this is an option let me know I have someone who has some software they wouldn't mind stress testing as a trial. Cheers, Dean > -----Original Message----- > From:

Special Delivery from China
I received a sample IP/Speakerphone from my friends in China today. Asterisk setup was fairly uncomplicated and I had it running as an extension on my server within a few minutes. Sounds quality of both the receiver and the speakerphone are fine (wife's opinion). Are there any tests I should run with this phone? Following are the specs: - Single line appearance - Alpha display, 2x16 chars -
