NEWS.md support on CRAN
John MacFarlane, the author of Pandoc, has been working on a project ( http://commonmark.org/) to define a standard reference for Markdown*. There are already two reference implementations, one in javascript, the other in C: https://github.com/jgm/cmark Regards, baptiste * There was some initial controversy with the original author of markdown, but in the long term it's probably one of the

...> (http://commonmark.org/) to define a standard reference for Markdown*. > There are already two reference implementations, one in javascript, the > other in C: https://github.com/jgm/cmark It sounds as though there are at least two possibilities for parsers that could be included in R: Sundown and commonmark. The "markdown" package does some of what R would need to make use of Sundown, but not all: we really do need an R object representation of the parse tree, for functions like news() to work with in the short term, and the help system in the longer term. To allow NEWS.md...

A set of questions before building a new server

Not too important for the XP systems, other than I would have to run a 4-6 web proxy before I sundown the XP boxes. > With Samba 3, I found roaming profiles to be more trouble than they > were worth. New List of implementations.
...o-pdf converter. That is not a markdown library. Another example would be Pagedown, which combines Showdown and an in-browser editor. Perhaps a useful tool, but not a library - the library is already listed as Showdown. On the other hand, I did list all of the bindings to the C libs (Discount & Sundown), because those are still libs in their respective languages. BTW, I intend to create a separate page listing tools like mmd2pdf, Pagedown, etc. But that won't happen today. Perhaps someone else would like to start that? Maildir to mdbox conersion size issue
Hello, I have issue with dovecot 2.2.13 I want to change all Maildirs to mdbox format and I do it per partes, so I change mail_location for user (in sql), than I use doveadm sync -u user path_to_maildir and everything works mostly fine. But now I found that when I migrate quite huge Maildir (about 24G of mails) to mdbox, after sync the final mdbox is twice as big as source Maildir (48GB). I

A set of questions before building a new server
I have a Samba server here with 4 users and 4 XP systems. Kind of small, but it does the job. It is running as a PDC with roaming profiles. I should note that I left professionally supporting Windows networking around the time XP came out, so I have maintained an NTDomain through a number of incarnations (NT, Win2000, Samba2/3) and use of someone elses packaging. This time I want to use

question/problem - SAMBA server dies
Hi there, I'm running Solaris 8 on a Sun420R with SAMBA 2.2.2 ... Periodically, at least once a week - roughly, my SAMBA server dies. I'm not able to completely troubleshoot this yet because the early birds in my office are most efficient and run the samba.server restart utility before I get in ... (per my instruction; however now I've asked them to hold off if there is no urgency).
