Dovecot does not access /var/mail when using Maildir
...what is not possible. After reading I discovered that I use mbox and that maildir is needed in order to be able to use subfolders. I have created a Maildir folder with the maildirmake.dovecot command in my /home/mirko directory and corrected the owner. Now dovecot uses the Maildir and I can create subfolers. However my problem is that I don't receive Emails in my Inbox. Incoming mails are delivered to /var/mail/mirko, but when dovecot uses Maildir it doesn't access this. I have played with the default_mail_env settings in dovecot.conf which does influence the use of mbox or Maildir. However t...

Unable to subscribe to newly created subfolders under public mailboxes with acl plugin enabled
...er emails there. Here is my problem: if I create subfolder (lets name it "subf") under b2b mailbox I'm unable to subscribe to it until acl plugin is enabled. Even if I put dovecot-acl file in .b2b.subf folder with anyone full rights dovecot-acl-list doesn't get populated with new subfoler. If I put it there manually I'm able to see subf folder in subscribe dialog in TB, but dovecot-acl-list is regulary updated, isn't it? Updated file is missing subf entry again. If I disable acl plugin everything works fine, but I'd like to keep it enabled. Is it a bug or misconfigurati...

He can only create subfolders in the first levels: Inbox test3 test4 Outbox Sent Trash Test1 - test folder created by t1 user Folders test3 and test4 can't be deleted by t1 - why? Owner of the test3 and test4 - annother user, but but with group rights everething is fine. User operd...

file mode creation at a directory level
Hello -- I am creating a share directory on a samba server for a group of users. I would like to make sure: 1. Only the members in that group can create files and subfolders on that directory 2. Other people cannot have any access to the files/subfolers. 3. The members can have full access to files/directories other members create. The above requirements seem simple, however, my problem is, because the share directory is neither under any of the members' home directory nor a seperate partition, and the system umask is set to 022, whic...
