I need to enable forward the xWindows through my SSH session, but I'm having trouble. I'm using Putty and I've configured it to allow enable x11 forwarding through the ssh tunnel. I've also edited the /etc/ssh/sshd_config and set X11Forwarding yes. After doing this, it's not working. I'm sure there's quite a bit not doing. Could anybody offer any guidance? This is

Currently we're using iptables -P INPUT DROP

I've been using a MI/X server but trying to upgrade I noticed that MI/X is no longer available for free. Similarly, eXceed is available at evaluation version (for a limited time

NT Domain and Samba as a PDC
Hi all, I'm currently battling with my Corp. IS group over NT domain administration. I admin a mostly Unix environment with a lot of WinXX clients. The authentication server is owned by "Corporate" (you know, that nameless, faceless entity that always makes do stupid things because "That's the policy" :) and I have no control over it. What I'd like to do is

Max thin client sessions/gdm limit?
Greetings, I've been subscribed to this list for some time and I'd like to start off by thanking everyone who helps out on it. This is my first post to it, so please be gentle :-) I have several offices set up with RedHat and CentOS terminal servers. We are using CentOS 4.6 and RedHat 4.6 on them, GDM for the display manager, and PXES (http://sourceforge.net/projects/pxes/) for the
