Step-by-Step Tutorial: How to Setup Your Own e-Commerce Online Store using WooCommerce 3.4.5, Wordpress 4.9.8, and CentOS 1805 (LAMP) in Amazon AWS Cloud
Hi Jonathan, Configuring SELinux is somewhat complicated, so I would usually set SELinux mode to permissive. ________________________________ From: CentOS <centos-bounces at centos.org> on behalf of Jonathan Billings <billings at negate.org> Sent: Saturday, September 29, 2018 7:48 PM To: CentOS mailing list Subject: Re: [CentOS] Step-by-Step Tutorial: How to Setup Your Own

DMCA and webcasting
...can't imagine that the record > companies who send us their CDs for free will send us a bill for our > webcasting since October 1998. They will. ASCAP and BMI and possibly SESAC will also send you a bill. You are being naive about the way this works: Performance royalties are paid to songwriters. That's where you money to ASCAP and BMI go. In other words, this goes to somone who deserves the monday. So you _want_ to pay this fee (typically 2.5% of revenue with some minimum fee in the range of 200-500$ a year). DMCA royalties go straight to the fucking big five labels. Artists w...

Nicecast (Mac) to Icecast/Icecast2
Dear group, I have a problem configuring my NiceCast to work with my IceCast server. Perhaps one of you can tell me how to solve the described issue I currently have. Situation is as follows: I run two gateways in my private network: (a) 10.10.10.100 and (b) 10.10.10.200. My webserver is running on (c) 10.10.10.30 on which I have my internet radio station running. Port from and to (c)

Victory
I got icecast up and running over the weekend. Now i have a couple of questions: 1. What can I do so that the record companies do not come after me ? IS it ok to stream mp3 music ? 2. I did some test. Some of my friends players would only play a few seconds and they had to select play to get more data. They were on a slow link. 3. Any other advice you may have. The play is to stream some

Disappearing Network Manager config scripts
Is anyone frustrated by Network Manager? I wish CentOS just used the basic configuration files like the ones on BSD-style OSes. Those are so simple in comparison. Each time I reboot, it seems like the configuration file I create for Network Manager gets destroyed and replaced with a default file. Nothing in the default file would actually make sense on my network, so I'm not even really sure

DMCA and webcasting
Last year I arranged with my college radio station and ITS department to webcast the radiostation using icecast. The webcast has been a wonderful success so far. My problem now is not technical, but political. A few days ago I recieved the following message from the station director: ================================================================== hey josh, i talked to [faculty advisor]

Streaming MoH on 1.4
Hi, I've looked high and low for any changes that streaming MoH needs on Asterisk 1.4 (.21), followed NerdVittle's article about it (http://nerdvittles.com/index.php?p=92) yet nothing worked. After creating dir stream/ and touch stream.mp3, here's my musiconhold.conf [stream] mode=mp3 directory=/var/lib/asterisk/mohmp3/stream stream =>
