How to resolve SMS/WAP/MMS/VoIP gateways on a shoestring?
...e calls that Voicepulse delivers to me via IAX. I need to send/receive SMS messages to/from the mobile carrier network. As far as I understand it I need a SMSC provider with access to the mobile carrier network. I currently have Asterisk triggering Kannel to send SMS messages. I am on a shoestring budget so registering for a ShortCode number is out of the question. My objective is to handle incoming voice calls at 222-222-2222 *AND* be able to send/receive SMS messages from 222-222-2222 without playing a game of call forwarding or faking my SMSC ID. Right now, my mobile telephone...

...load in compressed format, reliably. I am trying to save on extra bandwidth costs here in India. Also, can someone recommend and Xen Virtual host provider on my direct email address...anyone who is small & can do a bit of hand-holding initially...without a big dollar denominated bill ;-) Small shoestring budget..a very very small shoestring ;-) With best regards.

f/oss routing solution?
...routing needs for a, say, class C set of IP addresses, particularly if I ever have to do anything BGP-related. Anyone have any pointers before I delve in? Or possibly a recommendation for another open source routing solution? Yeah, I know about Cisco stuff, but I'm hoping to limp along on a shoestring budget until I get a few more things in place, then I'll rethink everything. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... Most recent version R for IBM Power8 Ubuntu environment
What is he most recent version of R known to run reliably in an environment of IBM HPC cluster Power8 systems, Ubuntu 16.04.1 operating environment with gpfs as the cluster file-system? It would seem from 'apt' checking to be R-3.2.3; however, that one is rather old and does not support a sufficient number of R packages that are needed for current university research projects. R-3.5.1 has

Newbie Question: Xen Server & Linux Xen Dom0 Differences and a usage query
...y. Target is to virtualize & commoditize applications, e.g. my workstation has an instance of postgreSQL running and another of TinyDNS and I would like to virtualize them into seperate servers, to be commoditized for any machine that requires them. Comments & Critique of approach wanted. Shoestring budget. With best regards. Most reliable setup for mongrel
I''m looking for the most reliable setup for Mongrel. Reliable meaning avoiding things like sending too many requests to a single mongrel process, or sending requests to a mongrel process that has hung for some reason. The handler will most likely be rails, but it might be a custom handler. SSL is also a requirement, which limits the options a bit but it can''t be done away

Help PLEASE...Multi-Routing for ADSL on Linux: Request for pointers..
...p; pointers, with web URLs for further reading. Also, I would like to bifurcate traffic, especially downloads using ftp, rsync (and if possible http downloads too) to go through the private ip flat rate link. Something that seperates traffic by ports. Request routing Gurus help me please. Am on a shoestring budget and can''t afford commercial hardware solutions that offer this kind of functionality, IAC..don''t even know of one that is specifically for low-cost DSL usage. With best regards. Sanjay.

Most recent version R for IBM Power8 Ubuntu environment
...ages indicating R task timeouts. Ubuntu proper may support Power8. That would provide whatever version of R was current when the particular Ubuntu release was made. Ubuntu 16.04 is outdated, with Ubuntu 18.04 you would (IIRC) get R 3.4.4. What is at CRAN as backports is provided by volunteers on shoestring budgets. Hence almost everything you see there is for x86_64. (Johannes backports Debian builds to arm as well as he has need for it). So for Power8 help ... we can help with tips but I fear you may have to spearhead. The good news is that it should not be hard. Hth, Dirk -- http://dirk.edd...

Who's happy with their voip service?
I started out happy as a clam with my new Broadvoice account and asterisk machine. About 10 days ago things began to change. Inbound calling has been down for 2 days. Beyond the "We are currently experiencing in-bound call issues with a carrier partner in some areas. We are aware of the issue and our engineers are working to have it resolved as soon as possible" mantra their
