Passwording a simple anonymous share
...I need it for is to provide one
browsable file share that allows read/write access to anyone on the network.
But I want it to be password protected.
My best guess as to what goes into smb.conf is:
[global]
workgroup=WORKGROUP
netbios name=MACHINE
security=share
[sharename]
path=/sharedfiles
force user=root
read only=no
I use "root" because it's currently the only user I've got on my embedded
system. However, there is no password on the root account, because the only
way to use the root account is to open the box and connect a keyboard and
monitor to the mo...

Steam Revenge of the Titans on Arch Linux - Garbage display
...39;m using:
- Kernel: 3.10 rc6

How can I tell if this is a nouveau or a game issue?
Can I run the game in pure SW emulation (without HW accel)?

Tracking file activity
Hey List,
I was wondering if and how one would go about tracking file activity on
a Samba server, for basic auditing purposes. I'd ideally like to see
what files where edited, by whom and when. I've done some RTFM and a
bit of searching around the 'net, but haven't found anything yet. Even
pointers to documentation on the subject would be welcome. Thanks in
advance for

Question: In Linux, are you sharing these via NFS as well? If so, when it
mounts, is it mounted as nobody:nobody?
If so, you need to fix /etc/...

I understand order matters for Rtools. They should go first in the path list
and have their own order. You'll notice I have the GSL path right on the end...
