I feel compelled to throw in my two cents here.
I agree 100% that the Foundation is full of people with good intentions.
I have been on a board like that, and it is extremely seductive; the
downside is, having such good intentions you see no value in establishing
good practices and processes. There is a proverbial road paved with all
good intentions.
[This is where Chris will step in and say this isn't the right forum
for discussing how the Foundation is set up or behave...

Hear, hear. I think the need for such discussion more openly is rising.
I'd be happy with a feedback drive...

Oh, be careful with that assumption. Because, really, Asterisk functions as
an abstraction layer between data and telecom. It's seductive, because we
know data, and we figure "hey, I just SSH into the box like normal" but the
core of problems shown on this list are usually not Asterisk itself but the
interface between Asterisk and the PSTN and / or the PSTN itself. You have
to have good telecom fundamentals or you will b...

Why are has_one objects resaved when the parent is saved?
If the associated object of a has_one association has been loaded, it
is resaved when the parent is saved. Eg:
class Person < ActiveRecord::Base
has_one :user
end
class User < ActiveRecord::Base
belongs_to :person
end
p = Person.find(:first)
p.save # As expected, nothing happens with the user association
p.user # Loads the associated object
p.save # As well as saving the person, the

Hi Rafael,
Against better judgement, and for what it's worth, here's my view.

leave, I
