Hi, I got the following setup. I got a openLDAP server. This server is the master server for LDAP functions. I named this ldapsrv. I got a samba server with openLDAP install on it as well. This LDAP server is the slave to ldapsrv. I named this sambasrv. Hello, My linux server (kernel 2.0.36 + samba 2.0.4) has successfully joined my Nt domain (with smbpasswd -j <NTDOM> -r <NTPDC>), and the 2 daemons start ok, but I cannot browse the computer in the Network Neighbourhood, i get : \\SAMBASRV n'est pas accessible Erreur réseau inattendue. which means \\SAMBASRV is not accessible. Hi I'm having problems with samba-3.0.21b and Windows Server 2003 domain controllers. When I try to access the samba server from a client (\\sambasrv) I only get a login prompt, no username/password combination works. Accessing the samba server through its IP-number instead of using the netbios name works. Within the NT domain , I?m the user "clau", I used to log to the NT domain thru an Win 98 wkstation. Browsing the "network neighborhood" ,clicking on \\HOME\SambaSrv i see a folder named "clau".
