Ferret Wiki Spam - Solutions Anyone?
...app experts out there could give me some advice. The two options I''m considering are sticking with TRAC and forcing registration to add/edit pages or tickets. The other option I''m considering is moving bug tracking to RubyForge and using a different Wiki for the website. Hopefully Ruse will be released soon. Any thoughts anyone? Dave

...the source code I see that the domain SID remains the same. Does this mean that the members (WinXP & 7) will continue to function properly? Will they start using AD membership functionality such as Group policies and kerberos automatically? Samba & Squid NTLM Auth
Hi I'm using Samba/Winbind(ntlm_auth) to handle NTLM requests from a Squid proxy. Everything works fine with local PDC mode and also in domain member mode. There is only one thing which isn't very nice for end-users. If you try to surf over the authenticated proxy with a Windows client which is not member of the domain, the browser (problem only occurs with IE) will use hostname as

Is there a reason for different implementation of G_SELECT and G_ICMP on AArch64? Novell Client forces password change, Ver. 3.5.2. and LDAP
Dear all, we have a strange behavior using Samba (Verson 3.5.2) as PDC with Open LDAP (Version 2.1.22) as backend and an old Novell-Client (version: 4.91 SP5) running on WinXP (SP3 and higher). The old PDC (Version 3.0.28) was running over years with the same LDAP-Server as backend and with Novell installed on the clients. We decided to migrate to Samba 3.5.2 , updated all the LDAP schemas

future modprobe.conf
centos 5 had modprobe.conf entries for eth0 and if present eth1. something like: alias eth0 forcedeth alias eth1 e1000e For the new centos 6 (I have the rhel 6 client installed on my laptop) the modprobe.conf file is gone. Which is fine. I understand files can be created in /etc/modprobe.d and server the same purpose. My question is I dont see (doing a grep) any eth0 alias's in the files in

Winbind Samba 3.5.1
Somehow I can't figure out what's going wrong. I have a Samba server running as PDC. Workstations can join the domain and users can logon. So far so good. I need winbind to be able to authorize a radius server to the PDC. This I cannot achieve. If someone got give me a clue, I spend already quiet some time Google the net :( Thanks, Mark # wibinfo -u root markr # wbinfo -a

how to install standard software on systems with heterogeneous hardware?
I've been thinking about ways to proceed if I need to set up 5 machines with basically identical software but somewhat variable hardware. A simple approach would be to just set up my golden system and clone the disk, but the hardware differences would probably cause problems. One approach that appeals to me is to install minimal centos on the first system, add a few rpms after installation,

read.table
Sorry to all bothering you with a trivial question: I am using R (rw0630 for Win32) and am simply unable to read-in the *.txt data. I've tried to copy the file (prum.txt) to different directories of rw0630 but get uniformly the answer "object "prum.txt" not found". Which is the default directory for read.table() ?? Thanks! Z. [Fwd: Weft - a free open-source QDA tool]
Hi Just released a first version of the WxRuby project I''ve been working on. Firstly, I wanted to say thanks to everyone on this list who''s helped at various points over the past year - every time I ran into a problem someone jumped in with advice. A very brief explanation of the app - I''m a sociologist/anthropologist by trade, and the app is intended for use in

This should be possible (modulo fixing issues (1) & (2) above). The plugin I have written is very specific to the virt-v2v task, but it could be evolved into something which would handle this...

The Group Policy Client service failed the logon. Access is denied.
Hello all, Let give the background. We replaced our PDC with a new machine. Both old and new machines are running Debian 6.0 Squeeze and Samba 3.5.6. moved all data and user accounts to new server. New server has the exact same configuration files as the old server. All machines have been rejoined to the domain both WinXP and Win7. The WinXP machines work perfectly all domain

[GlobalISel][MIPS] Legality and instruction combining
Hello, I am developing GlobalISel for MIPS. I have a few questions and observations about defining legality of generic instruction and also possible combining of instructions and artifacts in pre/post legalizer combiner or elsewhere (e.g. in some sort of instruction-select patterns). I look at legality as "If generic instruction can be selected into machine instruction, it is legal".
