Building a view for a 3 model has_many relationship
I''m working with three models: - Charge. has_many :budget_plans - BudgetPlan. belongs_to :charges, :rollups - Rollup. has_many :budget_plans This works out perfectly. A budget plan contains the ID of a charge and rollup and then there''s a 3rd attribute for hours. So working with data is no problem. My budget plan scaffold works nicely so I can select a charge, select a rollup and enter in h...

Update Rollup 1 for Windows 2000 SP4
Hello. Anyone else experiencing Problems with this update ? We do have W2k AD. And Samba Member-Server. This is done via Winbind without using Kerberos. After installing the Update to our AD-Servers. It seems that winbind lost its connectivity. wbinfo -t worked. wbinfo -u showed errors. After removing the update from all our servers, winbind works again. Should I move our configuration to

Problem with Samba PDC, W2k SP4 + rollup clients, user accounts
Hi! I've one big problem. In my work we have a mixed network: one Debian Sarge with samba 3.0.14 acting as PDC and some w2k sp4 and windows xp sp2 pro/home with all updates (including w2k sp4 update rollup) . Samba uses OpenLDAP as backend using smbldap-tools 0.9.1 to manage users and computers. This setup has worked perfectly since december (the LDAP is used by other services as Apache, subversion, ftp and so on) We have the need to create new user accounts now, so this week I created them with smb...

Offline Files won't sync after Samba upgrade
...ity of Win2K, synchronizing changes when back in the office, or over a VPN. This is our user-backup method, since it requires no effort from users and hence actually gets used. We've run like this for over 2 years without problems. We have recently switched running Samba 2.2.7-security-fix-rollup on RedHat 8. I'm not sure which Samba version that was - whatever shipped with RedHat 7.2 - but it didn't exhibit this problem. With the new version, trying to synchronize any file modification made while offline, fails with the message "Offline Files (\\server\user on server): A...

REPOST: Problems with trust account passowrds ???
...two samba servers that both participate in the same domain: [2004/02/16 09:17:52, 0] rpc_client/cli_trust.c:change_trust_account_password(248) 2004/02/16 09:17:52 : change_trust_account_password: Failed to change password for domain ITS. The server getting the errors is version 2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix running on RedHat Linux. The server not receiving the error messages is version 2.2.0 running on SPARC Solaris. Both servers participate in the same domain, and neither act as a domain controller or WINS server. The technician that manages the microsoft domain itself has no idea since he does...

If it all works out, @bors will merge your code into master and close the pull request. > Depending on the scale of the change, you may see a slightly different form of r+: > @bors r+ rollup > The additional rollup tells @bors that this change is eligible for to be "rolled up". Changes that are rolled up are tested and merged at the same time, to speed the process up. Typically only small changes that are expected not to conflict with one another are rolled up. Just an id...

Below are the details LInux Redhat 8.0 Samba 2.2.7-5.8.0 - Security Rollup fix pam_smbpasswd.so enabled. I've got smbpasswd and passwd database sync'ed together using PAM. Since Redhat's shipping samba is 'flawed' and not pam e-nabled, I recompiled it using source and Redhat's errata. (i'm pretty sure I did it correctly) Any help is apprecia...

Give users Power user access level to local machines.
...have searched high and low and have not found anything that works. We are running a software program which requires the user to have Power User access level on the local machine. The machines are Win2K sp3 and they are logging into a ADC which is Red Hat 9 (Shrike) and Samba Version 2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix. I have been able to setup the ADC and all users have "User" level access to the machines. If I add a suer from the ADC to the local Power Users group the software works. I would like to not have to add every user to every machine as that would almost be impossible. Also the software...

Problems printing from Windows 2000
I run a small network at home, with a Linux server, which shares files and a printer. I also have a Linux PC (RH 9, KDE 3.1, CUPS 1.1.17) from which I am trying to share a Lexmark 3200 inkjet. Samba (2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix) seems to be generally configured OK - I can print to the Lexmark from a Windows 98 system, and from another PC running Mandrake 9.1. However, I am unable to print from two Windows 2000 PCs. I can see the printer, view its properties (although I can't change any). However, any time I try to...

FW: What version started building libsmbclient.so?
...he problem? -Steve McClellan Hello, I am trying to write a program that uses some smbclient features but am having trouble linking to libsmbclient. I only have libsmbclient.a installed on my machine (Redhat 9 Linux). I believe that the smbclient version on my updated system is 2.2.7a-security-rollup-fix. All of the other libraries that I normally link to are xxx.so and so either I need to figure out how to link to an xxx.a library, or I need to find a version of the smbclient that builds the libsmbclient.so. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, -Steve McClellan -- To unsubscrib...
