FLAC support for Android?
Hi, (apologies for losing the link before ;-) That bug report seems to point out the right places. Here's some more thoughts about making OpenMAX components for free codecs (also thinking about other codecs like Theora and Speex): http://blog.kfish.org/2009/02/is-openmax-important-for-free-software.html After some discussions at FOMS last month, we might be able to get a few people

When Rockbox switched from libFLAC to the ffmpeg decoder, FLAC turned from one of our slowest codecs, to the fastest. The difference was extremely dramatic. libFLAC is the _reference_ implementation of FLAC, not one that is designed to be the ideal decoder everywhere. That's the advantage of open cod...

Introduction and patch
Hi, I'm one of the people working on the Rockbox project (http://www.rockbox.org) which is an open source alternative firmware for a range Digital Audio Players. Recently we integrated support for the Speex codec using libspeex and seems to work well. If you could add Rockbox to your list of software that supports Speex, that'd be great....

FLAC support for Android?
Hi, I'm a developer with the Rockbox project - http://www.rockbox.org - which is a written-from-scratch operating system and application suite designed for portable audio players. We of course support FLAC, and have a small, well-optimised (for embedded targets, including ARM) decoder which I think would be perfect for the device...

Real hardware for opus
So an iPod made in the last 4 years has not even a dsp that's used for help in low-power playback of mp3? What are my best options for a portable player I can put opus on and have 10 hours of opus playback? Introduction and patch
Hi Dan, Thanks for the patch, I'll apply it to svn. One question, why do you need this: +void kiss_fftri2(kiss_fftr_cfg cfg, const kiss_fft_scalar *freqdata,kiss_fft_scalar *timedata); + Cheers, Jean-Marc Dan Everton a ?crit : > Hi, > > I'm one of the people working on the Rockbox project > (http://www.rockbox.org) which is an open source alternative firmware > for a range Digital Audio Players. audio recorder compatibility
I'm shopping for a small/tiny audio recorder, the kind for recording in a class, interviews, etc... not really music, just voice. Per usual, a lot of these write their audio files in some Windows format, e.g., WMA. As a confirmed Linux guy, I'd want to offload the audio files in some format that Linux can read/play natively. I've read a sketchy suggestion that there's a Linux

Speex ARM4 patch
The attached patch eliminates some warnings while compiling for ARM4 targets. It also simplifies the asm constraints a bit. Now we can use the ARM4 optimisations when compiling for PortalPlayer targets in Rockbox. Cheers, Dan -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed... max size for album art?
Is there any size limitation for album art? I have a user who says adding large artwork (from a scanner) is corrupting the file metadata. I don't know if this is a flac limitation, a tag lib issue, or something I'm doing. Thanks, Scott -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed... URL:
