chown DOMAIN+mylogin /dir fails (Please help)
What can I look at to understand why chown keeps saying user does not exist. wbinfo -u/-g returns the user information klist -v shows kerberos is working net ads join works fine wbinfo -t shows secret is fine aix does not have getent so I can't run getent passwd -- is there something equivalent on aix? /usr/lib/security/methods.cfg has: WINBIND: program =

Due to FreeBSD not allowing '$' in usernames, and because I have to add a machine account for each computer I add to my Samba domain, what can I do to try and accomplish the following? 1. Restricting users from certain privileges
Hi: I could not figure out how to restrict users or other users from certain privileges to execute certain commands in FreeBSD/NanoBSD? What I meant is I want to create a NanoBSD image in which there will be an additional user, say 'admin'. I need to give this new user (admin) some privileges to run some root-can-only-execute commands, but not all (ACL similar to the firmwares in adsl
