They were building it first for Stream 9 and later asked to also build for/against RHEL9 kernel when it was available (see https://pagure.io/centos-infra/issue/786) Kind Regards,...

Hi, Is https://sigs.centos.org/kmods/ a part of RHEL 9? If yes, what is the repository name? If not, when can we expect it to be included? Thanks --- Lee

Apache mpm itk
Hi all, the EPEL repository for CentOS7 contains httpd-itk, an apache module for running different vhosts under specific user/group ID. For RHEL8 I can find it only in 3rd party repos, while I misses it entirely for RHEL9. Is the module deprecated? Can it be re-included into EPEL? smbclient NT_STATUS_NTLM_BLOCKED
Hi, I have configured my (RHEL9) standalone samba server with "ntlm auth = disabled" because we understand that ntlm should be disabled nowadays. However, we can no longer use smbclient (4.17) to connect to that server, as: session setup failed: NT_STATUS_NTLM_BLOCKED We have also set these on the server: client sign...

EL9 says: pcp-pmie[2870]: Low random number entropy available 15.6%
Hi, I've discovered an issue which I don't understand. On a new test install of EL9 I saw this message in the logs: Mar 01 08:09:18 <hostname> pcp-pmie[2870]: Low random number entropy available 15.6%avail at beta.corp.invoca.ch This is on a 64 core "AMD Opteron(tm) Processor 6282 SE" server but I also got the same low entropy on an EL9 KVM guest running on a "AMD

Compilation problems with R4.4.0
Thank you! Installing openblas and then using ./configure --without-lapack --with-blas --enable-R-shlib ..got everything working. Does this need reporting upstream as a bug in R or lapack? I'm good now, but it might help others to get this fixed. Simon. -----Original Message----- From: Ivan Krylov <ikrylov at disroot.org> Sent: 08 May 2024 20:05 To: Simon Andrews

Gently: this is meaningless. You probably mean one of the following: 1. The SSH server implementation is required to use only cryptographic algorithms that are FIPS-approved. 2. The SSH server

Compilation problems with R4.4.0
I'm having a strange problem compiling R4.4.0 on an AlmaLinux9 box. I've compiled previous versions OK on the same hardware/software (last was R4.3.2) but 4.4.0 is repeatedly failing. Configuration works OK. ./configure --prefix=/bi/apps/R/4.4.0 --enable-R-shlib R is now configured for x86_64-pc-linux-gnu Source directory: . Installation directory: /bi/apps/R/4.4.0

Re: Can Xen boot a Linux OS already installed in a realpartition
Well, you have two options: 1) If your hardware supports VT, you can boot this in a Xen HVM domU (fully virtualized). To do this, you need to make sure that the initrd images in the Linux partition are set up correctly to support the PIIX IDE/ATA chipset and that your root and fstab entries use the correct device. 2) If you can install a Xen domU kernel into the Linux partition install, you can

[p2v PATCH 00/11] Expose virt-v2v's "-oo"; re-enable openstack
Bugzilla: https://bugzilla.redhat.com/show_bug.cgi?id=1792141 Let the user pass "-oo" options from the kernel cmdline and from the GUI to virt-v2v. This is primarily useful with the OpenStack output mode, so reenable that mode.
