Testing failing
So I''m trying to be a good agile programmer and write unit tests for my objects, but I''ve got a test I just can''t keep from failing. I have a profile object that I just added username and hashed_password to. I used the method in the Rails book to handle hashing the password. My code is strait out of the book. The whole object is at the end of this email. I want

Prototype error - iterator is not a function
I''m starting to learn to use Prototype (v1.5.1.1) along with Mootools. However I keep bumping into the same problem: All of the inserts result in the error "iterator is not a function" at line 542 of Prototype memo = iterator(memo, value, index); Am I missing something obvious here? I''m wondering if there''s an incompatibility between Prototype and Domino

Privacy rights of an old user of this list
Dear subscribers of r-help, I would like to know your opinion about a privacy problem that I recently had after publishing to this list. Not a long time ago, I requested to the administrators of this list that they removed 2 or 3 old posts from mine. These posts were associating my name with an old company for which I worked a few years ago when you would look up my real name at google. I'm

Noob with Overwhelming Deployment Woes...
...with PHP where I just dump the app in a folder and everything works out of the box. I found that everyone is using Capistrano, which relies on Subversion repositories - which I know of but don''t know how to setup or use. Then there is also lighttpd, fcgi, apache, and a host of other pseudonyms to worry about configuring. Can anyone reccomend where to get started at the beginning of all this? I''d like to deploy to my shared textdrive account for starters if that helps at all. I appreciate the help. Jason -- Posted via http://www.ruby-forum.com/.

About TheoraSea and ITheora
Hello, I have just registred me (as JosephK but of course it's a pseudonym, I don't like trials) to talk about my projects ITheora and TheoraSea (and to learn english by practising :) ). I have seen that you already know about them by the article about TheoraSea on SOM and the article about ITheora on theora.org. Maybe can I explain how I have think all of that. The first idea was to

rbind.data.frame reacts on levels without factor (PR#9578)
Full_Name: Lutz Prechelt Version: 2.4.1 OS: Windows XP Submission from: (NULL) (160.45.111.67) I stack a number of data.frames using rbind. Each of these dataframes has a column 'authorname', which is a factor and a column author = unclass(authorname) as piecewise pseudonyms. When using rbind to stack these dataframes, R warns about invalid factor levels and inserts all NAs in the author column. The reason appears to be that rbind.data.frame looks for the presence of levels, not actually for class==factor when deciding what to handle as a factor: if...

Change Rscript and `/usr/lib/R/bin/R` relation
Dear all, I am trying to use multiple version of R unpacked from CRAN deb files. It does work successfully, except for some packages installation, whether Rscript has been used. I have configured alternatives and switch R environments without any problem and can install most of the packages. Hello ! I have a quick question about loops. For example, I have a 1 * 1 square and its inscribed circle tangent i, whose radius, of course, is also 1. The loop here is as the following: generate n points, say 5, in the square randomly repeatedly until we have five in total in the circle, then we stop, otherwise we continue. I do not know how ! Thanks for bringing the question over from StackOverflow [1]. I am not very impressed that you STILL hide behind a pseudonym and I am starting to question my sanity as to why I take time out to help someone like that. Anyway, read on ... [PATCH] pygrub/GrubConf: fix boot problem for fedora 19 grub.cfg
Booting a fedora 19 domU failed because a it could not properly parse the grub.cfg file. This was cased by set default="${next_entry}" This statement actually is within an ''if'' statement, so maybe it would be better to skip code within if/fi blocks... But this patch seems to work fine. --- tools/pygrub/src/GrubConf.py | 2 ++ 1 files changed, 2 insertions(+), 0

Re: Sum-up: Re-proposal: web forums
Hello, I have noted below problems that we can take care of, and those that aren't our problem, never were, never will be, impossible to be our problem, (you get the picture), because they are PEBKAC errors :) For all of those that don't know: PEBKAC = Problem Exists Between Keyboard and Chair.
