Getting undefined method `-' for #<XMLRPC::DateTime:0xb7c729e8>
Hello, all.
I am getting the following error on a couple of my puppet nodes when I
run puppetd -v -o --no-daemonize --no-splay:
err: Could not retrieve catalog: undefined method `-'' for
#<XMLRPC::DateTime:0xb7c729e8>
The error goes away if I add --ignorecache, but I''m not sure that''s
quite the fix I''m hoping for. It will also go away if i remove my

numericDeriv() giving a vector when multiple variables input
...As you can see, it includes some calls to other objects that are lying
around. Maybe from this email someone can tell me my mistake with how I've
called things; otherwise, I'm happy to send along the .R files to whomever
is so kind as offer guidance.

Using BRugs, in FUN: .C(..) 'type' not "real"
...rmation on this kind of error either here or on the
OpenBUGS/WinBUGS/BRugs bulletin boards. If there is a better place to post
this message, please let me know.
I am running Windows XP Professional (build 2600) Service Pack 2.0 on Intel

Multiple DNS Domains
I apologize in advance if this has already been covered, but I looked

We have multiple DNS domains, and I''m trying to figure out how a
puppet client determines it''s own dns domain name. For instance, say
we have foo.com and bar.com. Both the client and the server are in

Not a direct answer, but you might look at Ronald Pruitt's "BIVSURV S

Automatically Join Domain after Reboot
FC4 Samba 3 joining Windows 2003 Domain.
I have to manually join the Domain after rebooting. If I set samba to
start when booting it doesn't join the domain. I have to smb stop, net
join ..., smb start from the command line and then it will join the
domain and work fine. Is there something in the smb.conf that I can set
to join the domain when smb starts?

smbd dead but pid file exists
smbd dead but pid file exists
nmbd (pid 22641) is running...
This is the error I get when I restart my server. I have to stop smb
and execute /usr/sbin/nmbd; /usr/sbin/smbd; /usr/sbin/winbindd; to get
everthing started back.
