Offtopic: Auto provioning Snom 360
Hello list, I've got a problem provisioning my snom 360's in the office (about 20 of them). I'm using DHCP option 66/67 to set the provisioning URL but the phone won't connect to it to retrieve it's configuration. We are using a Cisco Catalyst Epress 500 to power the phones (poe), however if i power hem via the adapter and hook them up to a hub instead of the switch the phone

winbind against samba4 AD DC
...map config SHORTDOMAINNAME:schema_mode = rfc2307 idmap config SHORTDOMAINNAME:range = 500-40000 But the AD have to be provisioned with "--use-rfc2307" You then should add the objectclass: posixAccount in the AD samdb for each user and posixGroup for the group Is it mandatory to have provioned the AD with "--use-rfc2307" ? mac OSX client seems to be OK without, they can read uid/gid Number, but not linux client using smbd/winbindd. If yes what is the best way to add rfc2307 support to an already provisioned AD ? Applying ypServ30.ldif will it be good enough ? Thanks Ali

file server, AD client, no rfc2307
...RFC2307 LDAP attributes, as long as I kept into into DC's smb.conf the following line as mentioned in previous mail by Rowland the 27th of July: idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes As I wasn't too sure about this modification (ldapmodify to delete entries) I tried using a brand new Samba AD domain provioned without usage of --with-rfc2307. Again, it worked, as long as the "idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes" xwas present in DC's smb.conf And as soon as "idmap_ldb:use rfc2307 = yes" was commented on DC side, winbind on client side stopped working. Finally I removed that Samba file se...

ztdummy
The USB core was completely rewritten in 2.6, and as such the functions that ztdummy depends on do not exist in 2.6. I get the feeling that these changes are too much to easily fix ztdummy, so I don't expect to see it working on 2.6 any time soon (if ever) I made some small changes to zaprtc to work on 2.6 and I have MoH and Meetme functions working fine in my lab. For production I would

debian 10: errors with my server samba-ad
Hai Nathalie, The generation/provioning is ok. The "local SID message is normal, that because your joining the domain and havent started samba at that point. You can ignore that. Did you install and configure bind9? The provisioning command shows that you are setting up with it. But this shows bind is not found, which is a bit off. > BIND version unknown, please modify >
