Ok, I made some minor changes to powermust, to make it less "mustek" and more "megatec protocol", which can be seen in the attached patch. If this is ok, I can rebuild the patch with the other changes necessary for this (rename powermust and change the docs an...

can't make mustek powermust 600usb work
Disclaimer: I've setup APC UPS monitoring and it works... ... but when it comes to mustek powermust 600usb (connected via com-port), I can't make it work. Got NUT installed via aptitude in ubuntu feisty and a basic setup, exactly the same as for the apc, except for the name of the ups and the corresponding section of ups.conf -- [mustek] driver = megatec port = /dev/ttyS1...

Sweex 1000VA UPS
Hi, I'm trying to get a sweex ups working with nut on debian sarge. This one: http://www.sweex.com/producten.php?lang=1&%20sectie=&item=59&artikel=95 It's shipped with UPSmart and according to the compatibility list it should work with the genericups upstype=7 driver. But it doesn't. I get: mybox:/etc/nut# /etc/init.d/nut start Starting Network UPS Tools: (upsdrvctl

PowerMust 500
Hi folks, has anyone been successful in getting a Mustek PowerMust 500 to talk to nut? All my attempts (tried "mustek" and "powermust" as drivers) have been unsuccessful so far. Thanks for any clues. Sascha -- http://yoyodyne.ath.cx

Mustek PowerMust 1000/1400/2000 USB (megatec, megatec_usb?)
...ought some of those Mustek UPSes that have both a serial and a USB connector. Currently only the serial port is supported by the megatec driver. This works fine so far. Now I have seen there is a megatec_usb driver, which currently only supports 2 other UPSes. How can I help to find out whether the PowerMust might actually work with the megatec_usb driver? -- Regards, Wolfram Schlich <wschlich@gentoo.org> Gentoo Linux * http://dev.gentoo.org/~wschlich/

Powerdown on FreeBSD
Hi all, I just bought a Trust 1000VA PW-4105 UPS. I installed the UPS on FreeBSD 6.1, and installed NUT 2.0.3 via the FreeBSD port. I had no problems installing and configuring nut and the UPS to run with the PowerMust driver. My problem however is when I test the powerdown function by issuing the command: 'upsmon -c fsd' The UPS is cutting the power before the shutdown procedure of FreeBSD is done. I have added the following to /etc/rc.shutdown: if (test -f /etc/killpower) then echo &...

megatec_usb subdrivers for PowerMust 600 USB?
Hi! Are there any subdriver to get PowerMust 600 work with megatec_usb already? I've tried with agile, but that dosen't work. My only way is to use the RS-232 cable and a COM port, but the problem is that I have only one, and a remote control was plugged there jejeje. If someone needs a "Guinea pig", I don't mind (I...

Managing configuration and driver names changes (was: About blazer, powermust and mustek)
...h'ing is ok for me, at least for the moment. - I would better see an autonomous script, which embed the data and the processing, whereas you only have the processing above. Having a table with "<old_drv> <new_drv>" format, with the 2nd field embedding params too (ie "powermust" "megatec -some_mode" should be fine). But Carlos is also right telling that we do not consider the driver options. So there should be some completion in the new support. All options that are useful have to be supported by the new driver. The remainder have to be discussed here. If t...

Mustek
Hi all, I'm thinking buying a UPS Mustek PowerMust 600 USB to shutdown a Linux box on case of power failure. Can I use nut with this UPS without problems? I checked the page http://www.vamos-wentworth.org/upsinfo.html and was only something (incomplete) about Powermust 400 (information from November 2005). Could this be already changed? Thanks in...
