[LLVMdev] Windows development and "virus" in LLVM test suite
...t of the LLVMdev mailing list, what can be done to fix the presence of a "virus" in LLVM permanently? It is not acceptable to have to ask people to uninstall their antivirus solution if they want to use the test suite on Windows. The problem occurs with Microsoft Security Essentials (the poorest antivirus solution in existence), so it is likely to occur with many antivirus solutions. A quite from Wikipedia regarding the file: A compliant virus scanner, when detecting the file, will respond in exactly the same manner as if it found genuinely harmful code. So any compliant virus scanner...

Full enumeration, how can this be vectorized
Hi all, I am currently using the code snippet below to minimize a function which I wasn't able to minimize properly with optim (cliffy surface, constraints, poles). Obviously this iteration is probably the poorest way of implementing such a function and it is expectedly slow. I've already written some vectorized functions, but I'm afraid that I'm missing the "big picture" in this case, I don't know how to start. Probably I could build a 3 x (length(x) * length(y) * length(z)) matrix...

[LLVMdev] Running "make check" on Windows yields lots of unwarrented unexpected failures
...;br /> <br /> 2) Relax the tested patterns, so that they are less picky about the registers used for <br /> argument passing.<br /> <br /> 3) Basically like point 1, but add another pattern for Win64.<br /> <br />4) XFAIL the test for Win64. (That would be the poorest solution.)<br /><br /> I could possibly provide some patches, but I would like to know if there is a preferred solution.<br /> <br /> Bye<br /> Dirk<br /><br /></div> <br><br><table cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" b...

EPSXE under WINE.
Hello. This thread is to help anyone having problems with using EPSXE psx emulator in WINE. EPSXE can work in WINE, only if you install directx in WINE. WINE alone does not have directx installed with it but EPSXE requires directx to function. You would need to install directx using any game which has "Install DirectX" or something similar. The redist packages for directx found online

Jumbo frames problem with Realtek NICs?
I was trying to do some performance testing between using iSCSI on the host as a diskfile to a guest vs the VM guest using the iSCSI device directly. However, in the process of trying to establish a baseline performance figure, I started increasing the MTU settings on the PCI-express NICs with RTL8168B chips. First bottleneck was discovering the max MTU allowed on these is 7K instead of 9K but

File Systems - Which one to use?
We are looking at implementing a Linux box running samba in the near future with about 1TB of disk online. The purpose of this box will be for basic file and printer sharing needs. I am doing research on the different journaling file systems avaible in RH 7.3 and up (ext3, reiserFS, and JFS) and was wondering if anyone has had any real world experience with them (mostly reiserFS and JFS) and

Centos Linux should be fine. This has to be some of the poorest advice I have seen on this list... what is 'hardware voice processing capable'? We run 120 channels of TDM on single CPU servers all the time (no transcoding of course), and the amount of RAM is nearly irrelevant. Independent tests have shown there is no appreciable performance differe...
