SMB won't authenticate
Have a Samba PDC which authenticates the users login to the domain. But when I try to mount a share from a member server in the domain, I get errors like this: Closing connections [2003/06/01 15:50:46, 2] smbd/reply.c:reply_sesssetup_and_X(985) Defaulting to Lanman password for pnelson [2003/06/01 15:50:46, 2] lib/access.c:check_access(327) Allowed connection from (10.32.30.16) [2003/06/01 15:50:47, 2] smbd/service.c:make_connection(331) Invalid username/password for neatech [pnelson] [2003/06/01 15:50:47, 2] lib/access.c:check_access(327) Allowed connection from (10.32.3...

Doman Group in new version of samba
New to list sorry if this has been address but didn't see it in recent archives. FC1 with Samba 3.0.2 I had an older RH73 system running samba 2 on it and recent moved up to FC and samba 3. Most everything transfered over well. I just took my smb.comf from the old system and put it on the new system and then ran swat making sure I didn't forget anything. Restarted server and wow... It

Member server of Samba PDC
PDC RH9 running v2.2.7-a-8.9.0 from RH Member RH73 running v2.2.7-3.7.3 from RH both are up to date with regards to RH Would like the Member server to authenticate against the PDC rather than locally to itself causing me to keep auth all synced up between the two. Yes LDAP is an option as we already use it, but was waiting for ver 3 to go down this road as we don't like to compile because of

Moved samba doesn't work
Moved samba (acting as a standalone system) from a RH9 system to a FC1 system. It wont authenticate the users. Here is more of the specifics: 1. Users log into a Samba PDC. 2. Login scripts setup their mappings 3. Some mappings are on the PDC (these still work) 4. Some mappings are on the standalone server. 5. The version of samba on RH9 is 2.2.7 6. The version of samba on FC1 is 3.0.4 I

upgraded old smb system to new release with a few errors
I moved an old smb system (version 2) over to a completely new system with version 3.0.7 running on FC2. I just copied the config files over and then ran swat and adjusted any problems that I found. Then save the swat config and started the smb server. Gosh be Good! It worked just fine. But... I stared noticing entries like these in the logs:

moving points labels in ordinations
I'm trying to place labels so as to avoid covering points (and other labels) in an ordination plot. I've been trying to use orditkplot() for this purpose, but get an error message, even when I try to replicate the example: >require("vegan") >data(varespec) > ord <- cca(varespec) > orditkplot(ord, mar = c(4,4,1,1)+.1, font=3) Error in

BIO-ENV procedure
I've been unable to find a R package that provides the means of performing Clarke & Ainsworth's BIO-ENV procedure or something comparable. Briefly, they describe a method for comparing two separate sample ordinations, one from species data and the second from environmental data. The analysis includes selection of the 'best' subset of environmental variables for explaining
