Fixed-point library version
Hi all, I would be interested in partaking in the development of the fixed-point version of speex. I want to compile it on a TI DSP TMS320C6416. See http://focus.ti.com/docs/prod/folders/print/tms320c6416.html . There is only a mention of this work in progress on the web site but no other details. I use WinXP & debian 2.6 as de...

Starting new project
...join in with me? I''ve got the ideas and the design skills. The problem is that I''m new to rails, and I feel I could learn a lot faster if I did this with someone that knew more than me. I''m really excited to get this project going. If you''re interested in partaking in the fun send me an email directly so we can talk about some of my ideas.

Input/Output error - Not Samba ?
Hi, I have a very odd problem which perhaps is not related to Samba but to be sure... I have a RH6.2 2.2.20 ACLs Samba server 2.2.2 and everything is/was running fine partaking in a Windows 2000 domain. I needed to reboot the server. It has come up and I am getting "input/output errors" all over the logs when I try and access any of the shares on the raid array from a Windows client and Windows gives the standard 'network name cannot be found". If...

Since Mr. Hughes had already gotten earlier versions of chromium to build under CentOS 6 (c.f. http://people.centos.org/hughesjr/chromium/6/), and he indicated it was merely a matter of getting RHEL to give permission for him to redistribute it more "formally" to the...

Replacing WinNT 4 PDC with Samba PDC
Hi All! Thanks to all of you that responded to my previous posts. I've gotten a lot more info now than I used to have! But I still have questions. The biggest right now is: Is there a way build up a Samba PDC as a direct replacement for an existing Windows NT 4.0 PDC? All the material I've found to date is written from a standpoint of creating a new domain as you create the Samba

My Back-UPS RS 1000 went haywire, any ideas?
...Otherwise, maybe electronics went bad over time (dried capacitors etc.) so the controller and its sensors are in fact going haywire. This might also be replaceable, if you're good with soldering (or can find/hire someone who is) or if warranty repair is still an option. Finally, the UPS might partake in self-calibration, where it deliberately discharges itself to check how long the battery holds up your load (maybe the charge-level cycle also lets it keep the internal chemistry healthier). Usually it powers itself back up from mains in the nick of time before it would otherwise shutdown, if it...

HVM Loader in 3.0.3-testing missing?
Hello list, I''ve installed Xen 3.0.3-testing from source on my spiffy new socket AM2 machine and I''m eager to play with fully virtualized guests. The problem is, it seems the hvmloader wasn''t installed (or built) when I built and installed Xen. I''m getting the following error : Error: Kernel image does not exist: /usr/lib/xen/boot/hvmloader So I did a quick

Windows XP Home Edition
I am using Samba 2.2.3a-12.3 on a Debian server. All the clients but one are XP home edition. I have a share on the server which all workstations are able to see, view, write, edit, etc. After 15 minutes of inactivity the share obtains a red X over the share icon. I am able to reactivate the share by clicking on the red x with no problems. I understand that Microsoft, in their wisdom, has a

asterisk-doc Conference Call - phase 2 :)
Thank you to everyone who has offered so far! I've had formal offers from Martin List-Peterson, William Suffil, Greg Varga, Brian Cuthie and Ed Guy (hopefully I haven't forgotten someone....!) Now we just have to decide where the best spot to host it is. What do you guys think? For this week, I don't care if this is a one off. At some point I'd like to have a weekly conference,

My Back-UPS RS 1000 went haywire, any ideas?
Hi, I am sorry for possible offtopic as this question is not quite NUT-related but I cannot imagine any other place with people of such deep and intimate knowledge of UPS behavior. One day all of a sudden my APC Back-UPS RS 1000 refused to go online (green led) even though mains was connected. I used upsc to see what is going on, and ups.status was "OB DISCHRG", battery.charge was

[PATCH 1/2] JBD2: Allow feature checks before journal recovery
Before we start accessing a huge (> 16 TiB) OCFS2 volume, we need to confirm that its journal supports 64-bit offsets. So we need to check the journal's feature bits before recovering the journal. This is not possible with JBD2 at present, because the journal superblock (where the feature bits reside) is not loaded from disk until the journal is recovered. This patch loads the journal

EF & AF filters with HTB
Hello all, Please could someone help me with this, I have been trying for days to get this to work. I would like to have BE, AF & EF classes with HTB qdisc. I can''t find any scripts online where this has been done. If I enable this filter: #tc filter add dev eth0 parent 2:0 protocol ip prio 1 \ #tcindex mask 0xf0 shift 4 pass_on then BE & AF classification seems to be fine but
