virtually no record of folks trying this or any mention of how it might
work. I'm hoping my failure comes from ignorance of how to call .jinit with
the appropriate parameters at the right time. A simple example call
all.glmultis <- llply( some.list, function.which.calls.glmulti,
.paralllel=TRUE )
If i set .parallel=FALSE, the call completes and I'm able to merge the
results using a glmulti command. However, when parallelizing, it never
returns (even though it appears to run the separate processes
simultaneously and finish the heavy computation).
Can I expect to get this to work...

use R to read/print the system hardware configuration
Dear All,
I am curious if there is any why to use R to know the specification of the
machine that runs on,
i.e. read the cpu model, memory size, those hardware info, maybe even with
thesoftware information.

Doubts about sharing a winprinter
Hi there,
I own a domestic lan with two computers, mine and my mother's one. Mine is called GREENDEMON and the other one is called BLUEDEMON and they both are configured to run on the REDLOCAL workgroup. I've Debian Woody running on GREENDEMON and Windows 98 running on BLUDEMON, with an attached Nec Silentwriter Superscript 610 printer. This printer is only compatible with Windows 9x
