Streaming radio docs
I'm trying to make a ices/icecast streaming radio with encoding from soundcard. I did a lot of googling and couldn't find any docs other then icecast/ices docs, that are included in the source packages. Are there any other docs that i should read? Is there a howto outthere somewhere? <p>--- >8 ---- List archives: http://www.xiph.org/archives/ icecast project homepage: http://www.icecast.org/ To unsubscribe from this list, send a message to 'icecast-request@xiph.org' containing only the word 'unsubscribe' in the body. cacti on centos
...sages saying so. If I just use admin as username/password, I get normal login screen with no "wrong password" message. I'm kind of stuck. Googling around hasn't helped much either. Anybody else had same problem? Searching the list archive, I can see there are many folks outthere running Cacti on CentOS, so hopefully somebody could help me out. Some additional notes: One thing I had to do was to hardcode paths in include/config.php for $config["base_path"] and $config["library_path"]. The ereg_replace stuff was throwing "premature end of r...

intel dual core processors and new kernel packages
...means? Does it mean if I have dual core pentium processor and use older kernel that it will use only one core, and I need newer kernel to use both cores? Or is it only something cosmetical (like updated output for /proc/cpuinfo)? Looking at the bug 167412, it looks more like the later. Anybody outthere running Pentium D or Pentium extreme with 2.6.9-11.EL? ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program.

...arkup language. i recently started to use CMML as attachements in matroska containers ( because the markup had a stable definition and matroska tag xml seems to get nowhere , plus doesnt do timeline descriptions properly ) using CMML to describe a video timetime is currently the best thing i found outthere, very easy to parse and verify. startx

peelable streaming
question: would it be possible to mess around with icecast2s' relay ability to kind of cheat a peelable streaming thing? eg: client needs a bitrate lower than what is available, client tells server this, server relays to itself, or other available server, at a required bitrate, server forwards new stream info to client and so on. <p>--- >8 ---- List archives:

Trust domain
Hi, All, I upgraded my samba to 2.2.4 recently. There is one question about trusted domain. If I set 'winbind use default domain' to yes, supposed the domain name is D1, a trusted domain D2, when I run wbinfo -u, what I should I get? I remembered I will get users like D1\UserOnD1 ..... D2\UserOnD2 ... in previous version. Thanks in advance, Juer

Winbind-Problem in Samba 2.2.7a with Suse 8.2
Hi Outthere, I run a small Windows Network with a MS Small Business Server 2000 and want to extend it by a Linux/Samba-Fileserver. I use Suse 8.2 and the Samba Distribution 2.2.7a that comes with it. Samba works well principally. But I want to use the winbind daemon to simplify the user management. I follo...

New files are possible, but get the settings: -rwx-r-xr-x 'nobody', domain-GID The relevant settings in the smb.conf are all 775. What can I do to get rid of this? Any ideas outthere? Kernel 2.4.8 on an Athlon 500. e2fsprogs-1.23 ext3 compiled as a module. I used "tune2fs" to make /boot and /home into ext3, and remounted them OK. (I am so amazed to see the system come right back without an lengthy fsck on these two file systems after a power off! Well done!) I also used "tune2fs -j" on /, it created a /.journal file. Why is as.function() slower than eval(call("function"())?
(Apologies if this is better suited for R-help.) On my system (macOS Sierra, late 2014 MacBook Pro; R 3.4.1, Homebrew build), I found that it is faster to construct a function using eval(call("function", ...)) than using as.function(list(...)). Example: make_fn_1 <- function(a, b) eval(call("function", a, b), env = parent.frame()) make_fn_2 <- function(a, b)
