encoding 44.1Khz
Hi , I have read that it is posible to encode higher sample
rates like 96 khz or 192khz? and the output is 48 khz,
the resample is internally.? http://wiki.xiph.org/OpusFAQ
But it is possible to encode? 44.1khz. It is resampled to
48khz or I have to make the resample by myself and
then encode it with opus.
thnx, arctor

MIME Types and File Extensions
...i page at:
https://wiki.xiph.org/MIME_Types_and_File_Extensions
I added Opus to several of the sections, but
wasn't sure whether to add "Theora + Opus" to:
.ogv - video/ogg
.axv - video/annodex
As far as I can tell, according to the Opus
FAQ at:
https://wiki.xiph.org/OpusFAQ#Will_Opus_replace_Vorbis_in_video_files.3F
Theora + Opus is possible but not recommended.
Could somebody more knowledgeable than me
please review this.
Many thanks,
Martin

.ogv is more correct there. .axv indicates a cmml text annotation track.

The faq isn't completely accurate, in that theora+opus will work in some
players, and Youtube is happily serving vp9+vorbis in webm. One can try
to use the 'codecs' extension to mime-ty...

OPUS on Cortex-M4
Hi, I would like to use OPUS codec to compress and decompress an audio
stream for full-duplex intercom application; I would like to use a
microcontroller equipped with Cortex-M4 core without NEON running at 72MHz.
Does the OPUS codec works fine on that architecture? Do you have some
benchmark data?
Thank you in advance. Best regards.

Speex on M3 for a device for a disabled person to use
Hi Tristan,
well... if speed is really his problem (and looking at those 72 MHz it
probably is), wouldn't Speek surpass Opus by far?
I agree that Opus is way better, but it's sadly also using more resources...
But yeah, Richard you should give Opus a try if possible ;) It's
generally easier to use then Speex and also more feature rich.
Yours sincerely,
Ren? Sch?mann
