Hi all Got a couple of errors in the logs wondering what they mean??? Google does not come up with too much on these NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE, NT_STATUS_SHARING_VIOLATION, NT_STATUS_INVALID_LEVEL and NT_STATUS_OBJECT_NAME_NOT_FOUND. Four clips illustrating the above are below... I have am wondering how I sort this out. I am particularly worried about the NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE. All the best Justin. EXAMPLE 1 New file A13C0000...

smbclient -c options
I'm trying to get a recursive file listing with smbclient: smbclient //host/share -Uusername%password -c "ls -alFR" But I get an error: NT_STATUS_NO_SUCH_FILE listing \-alFR Evidently, smbclient thinks I'm asking for a file mask. Is there a way to get a recursive file listing on a samba share so I can pipe it to wc -l for a file count? Ideally, I'd like to: (This won't work, but you get the idea...) smbclient //host/share -Uusername%passw...

CPU consumption by samba
Hi, I'm having strange performance problems with samba and an application written with VisualFox Pro. This application is entirely installed in a Windows share and it has a hystory of strange phenomenons. Initially it ran fast on an old NT server (but that server has been replaced). It has strange performance problems with Windows 2000 Server: it runs fast with some servers and slow with

I worked with Netatalk for years and want to switch to Samba now. Currently i use Ubuntu 20.04. and Debian 9 before, i had no issues with netatalk at all. As soon as i try to add a color tag (e.g. yellow) with Mac OS 10.15.5, the tag appears shortly but hides one second later. The file system is ZFS with no special options configured.
