Wine call graph; wineserver; the "big picture".
Hi, I've been lurking for a while now with a view to starting work on wine - specifically COM and DCOM. I know some people have started some work and there might be some patent issues with COM at least - so maybe DCOM is a better bet (I had the possibly niave idea of implementing COM via DCOM - it would be almost transparent, slower but less "dangerous"). I've read most of the developer docs and some relevant source but I'm still having problems grokking the interrelationships between different parts of wine and the role(s) of wineser...

NLME 3 (R version) again!
...Mare, maxDist = 0.7)) Error in FUN(X[[1]], ...) : couldn't find function "dist" Has anybody got this code to work. I suspect looking at the code and the calls to bwplot and xyplot (all of which are S-plus) that not all this code has been converted. I am new to R and thus am I being niave to expect all the code (particularly the plotting routines) to work with R? fortran Makefile
My library uses compiled code which I converted from fortran to C with f2c. I put copies of the same Makefile in the both dse/src and dse/src-c. (I'm not sure why, but I niavely assumed the same Makefile might work.) Now, I haven't tried the fortran version with R. But of course the first person (as far as I know) to actually try and use the package defaulted to compiling the fortran directly (using R INSTALL). I assume this is something that gets set by configure, b...

Odd results with Chi-square test. (Not an R problem, but general statistics, I think)
.... > No its not the raw numbers its the proportion of correct answers that counts. I've added a % correct to your data - does that make it clearer? Only 22.6% of version 3's answers were correct - so the difference in terms of % change is smaller than version 1 and 2 produced. From my niave persepctive I'd want to test for a difference between all results and baseline, and then v1 & v2, v1 & v3, v2 & v3 (you may tell me they are unsound things to test - in which case don't test them. You'd then need to determine a threshold for accepting that the test is vali...
