let the community know so that when people in my previous position
search Google for this subject they'll find this answer.
As of this e-mail, I'm using Samba 3.0.7, OpenLDAP 2.1.29, and
Smbldap-tools 0.8.5.

confession
Gang,
I've got to admit, what really sold me on debian was apt-get. And
I've been resisting getting up to speed with yum. So, can any of ya
point me to a good starter page, maybe one with migrators like me in
mind? Many thanks.

I'd like to conduct discriminant analysis to this data set. How could I

Thanks a lot!

Syslinux patch
...er in linux, and there was no simple tool I knew of to it in windows
at all. However, adding this functionality to the linux version of
syslinux would also be possible. Enjoy, and Peter, if you like it,
please feel free to modify it and merge it with syslinux.
The patch can be found here:

If you're interested, my USB distribution is RUNT.

64 Bit R Background Question
...he archives that some have gotten 64 BIT R to build "out of
box" on Intel Xeon processors...is there any differences in
compiling/performance between the Intel Xeon architecture vs AMD 64?
Are there pure physical limitations of 64 BIT R that would make intalling it
on a grid (http://www.ncsu.edu/itd/hpc/Hardware/Hardware.php) a wasted
effort? We have the memory and drive space to do this.
Thanks for any advice

It works fine, but is there an easier way when n, tt, and numco get
larger and larger?
Thanks,

R, so could you please give me some suggestions or the scripts for

Very simple question about list components

rr <- rnorm(50)
ans <- lm(rr~tt)
ans[1] is "$coefficients", ans[2] is "$residuals", ans[3] is

display just these names and not the data they contain? I thought I
saw my advisor type "ans$" and they were displayed,
