"Earlyclobber" but for a subset of the inputs
...ll, I'm working on a target whose registers have equal-sized subregisters and all of those subregisters can be named (or the other way round: registers can be grouped into super registers). So for instance we've got 16 registers W (as in wide) W0..W15 and 32 registers N (as in narrow) N0..N31. This way, W0 is made by grouping N0 and N1, W1 is N2 and N3, W2 is N4 and N5, ..., W15 is N30 and N31. The target has some widening instructions that take a number of N registers and output a W register. Possible combinations are Wdest = widen-op Nsrc1, Nsrc2 Wdest = widen-op Wsrc1, Nsrc2 The t...

Is there any multivariate regression function to combine all variables from a dataset?
...on that combines all the values from the dataset in order to produce the xi, xi*xj, xi*xj*xk values. The variables can take values in different ranges so I need that the function controls the scale. After that I would apply the regression to the obtained dataset. Example X1 X2 n11 n12 n21 n22 n31 n32 -> X1 X2 X1*X2 n11 n12 n11*n12 n21 n22 ... n31 n32 ... Is there any function like this in which, in addition of the above mentioned, I can specify the degree of combination? Thanks for your help, Miguel

File transfer speed issue
Hi all, I have aproblem with Samba copying (unfortunatly I'm new to samba so my skills are fairly limited). I have a sun box (solaris 8) with samba 2.2.2. Copying from sun to a nt server is fast (as good as you would expect) however, copying from the nt server to the sun box is slow (files copy normally, then slow to a complete halt then copy very slowly). We cannot see anything on a

Windows ME Logon scripts
I cannot seem to execute any logon %U.bat scripts. It see's them because I get a black box screen and a message 'running logon scripts'. If the user.bat file does not exist it simply skips this step. So I know it sees my bat files. If I execute it from the windows ME pc after the pc is booted up it works. The bat file is as follows: rem Network logon script net use h: \\win\homes

Courier->dovecot migration script
HI All, We have the latest Dovecot 1.1.6 running and I need to migrate some POP3 users over from Courier to Dovecot and would need to convert the courierpop3dsizelist to maintain the UIDs. I just need to confirm that the script (http://www.dovecot.org/tools/courier-dovecot-migrate.pl) only works for Dovecot v1.0 and not for v1.1? As the dovecout-uidlist file that is created (by the script) is not

If your machine is close to POSIX compliant, then it shouldn't make a difference. If you can get samba installed, then setup a minimal smb.conf. Test it with the testparm program. Rebuild of kernel 2.6.9-67.0.20.EL failure
Hello list. I'm trying to rebuild the 2.6.9.67.0.20.EL kernel, but it fails even without modifications. How did I try it? Created a (non-root) build environment (not a mock ) Installed the kernel.scr.rpm and did a rpmbuild -ba --target=`uname -m` kernel-2.6.spec 2> prep-err.log | tee prep-out.log The build failed at the end: Processing files: kernel-xenU-devel-2.6.9-67.0.20.EL Checking
