I was just wondering if there are any problems using the latest FreePBX with SATA Raid 1 using hardware assisted software Raid like most modern chipsets support? I know that Digium and FreePBX were not recommending it awhile back but I think that was based on 2.4 Kernel and Digium hardware issues. I am assuming it is not a problem with the latest FreePBX using 2.6 Kernel and Sangoma cards? Any

Hi there, I am running Asterisk 1.2. I have a Grandstream GXP2000 and Aastra 9133i with BLF/Speedial configured for other extensions. The hint's are all configured in extensions.conf and it seems to work as it is supposed to until I reload the configuration in Asterisk or reboot the server. Then neither phone displays the BLF of other extensions until I reboot the phone. It continues

I am aware of Astlinux and the other embedded Asterisk solutions out there? Astlinux is nice but the problem is that when I hit a snag and need to incorporate a patch and what not I cannot do that with Astlinux because I cannot compile my own version. I have been struggling with this issue for about a year now. There were just too many IP phones to choose from at all sorts of price points and not enough information about any of them. Now I am looking at the situation again and if anything it has gotten worse. There are even more phones and all sorts of opinions. I know Vonage doesn't officially have a "bring your own device" type program, but they do offer a softphone. Has anyone gotten Asterisk to connect directly to Vonage? Is anyone using Vonage on an FXO port in Asterisk? How well does it work? Specifically, any echo/delay problems? I have a very annoying problem that we hear on our end, but the other party doesn't hear. There are random beeps and echo type noises that occur.
