search for: mptfusion

Hi, folks, Got an older Dell R410, with an LSI 1068E PCI-Express Fusion-MPT SAS (rev 08). It *appears* that a) trying MegaRaid, and b) from what I'm googling, that what I need are mptfusion-related packages. Unfortunately, yum shows me nothing available in base, epel, or rpmfusion. Am I looking for the wrong thing, or does anyone have a source (no, I haven't looked at LSI, sorry Avago's website, which I don't find overly friendly...) mark

More googling, and then something I wouldn't have thought of: smartctl doesn't work on this HBA against /dev/sd*. HOWEVER, it's happy as a clam against /dev/sgx, and there's my RAID, /dev/sg0 and /dev/sg1 (which lshw also was able to show me), but now, at least, I can run smartctl tests on the drives, and hopefully one will say, "Bad! Bad!". mark

...2950s I've only had to install sas_snmp-3.11-0003.i386.rpm from LSI to get rolling. I've tried installing parts from the MSM zip/tarball mess to install only the lsi_mrdsnmpd daemon (lsi_mrdsnmpagent). hi fyi, it seems redhat has just pushed RHEL 5.7 out. I see amoung others: kernel-2.6.18-274.el5.x86_64.rpm redhat-release-5Server-5.7.0.3.x86_64.rpm Rainer
