Asterisk Server Crashing with New Application
...system was very stable until two days ago. The changes made were; 1) Installed a Second PBX in my second data center and I am running IAX2. 2) Installed the MySQL module. 3) Installed a copy of the php based CDR reporting. 4) Installed the Flash Operator Panel 5) Installed a modified version of Monastery to show me which agents were logged in and active I only stated having instability around the changes made in 4 and 5. I suspect the problem to be either caused by 4 or 5, in which case they will be very easy to rectify. I would however like to know if anyone else has had a) the same experience a...

Disallow POP3 from deleting messages

I think POP3 would give a lot better user experience than IMAP when they are outside the LAN. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated. /etc/passwd
I would like to write up brief tutorial/documentation on how to manage /etc/passwd using puppet. While this may seem pretty straight forward to some...the documentation is not. We have been able to create a manifest that defines all of our users "virtually" and are able to "realize" users and add them to the system(s) running puppetd. Is there a way to simply realize all users

kernel names
Hi I am pretty new to this, and this may be an easy one, but I have not found the answer in the docs. The kernels produced from a build seem to have the same name for both the dom0 and domU instances. I get one kernel named vmlnuz-2.16.6-xen Is this expected? Although the dom0 boots, I ma having a crappy time getting a virtualized OS to boot and am trying to see if this is the

Overriding validation?
Is there a "normal" way to override the behavior of validator methods (like validates_presence_of) for updates vs. creation? For example, in the AWDR example store program, the User class validates the presence of the password and its length - which makes sense when the user entry is created. But what if you wanted to provide an update form that updates just certain items

Check if current route == some route
I have a before_filter in ApplicationController in which I want to check if the current location is the same as a certain route, so that I only redirect non-logged in visitors to the "join" page if they''re not on that page already. The code I came up with is a bit ugly: redirect_to join_url unless (@logged_in or action_name == "join") I''m pretty sure

It sounded like there was going to be one, so that some of the fixes that didn't make it into rc7 could be easily tested before releasing 1.0? -- Best regards, Charles

Controlling SIP mobile extensions.
Hi everybody, I'm trying to develop a web application for controlling if SIP users are registered in * or not, and show it in a web. My problem is that I don't now if it's possible to do a Shell Script to control this: 1. Connect to console. 2. Execute command. 3. Obtain users registered. 4. Update a BdD. This is possible? There are any best way to implement this? Thanks a lot.

More newbie questions from me ... How do you specify multiple requires in an exec ? What I''ve tried: define cvsserve($source, $path, $user = false) { file { $path: ensure => directory, owner => root, group => root } $cvscmd = $user ? { false => "/usr/bin/cvs export $source/$name .", default =>

I am new to Ruby on Rails. I have read a lot, and bought several books, and now I have started to implement a modified "shopping cart", following the AWDWR-book, with modifications to suit our application (subscriptions and memberships). Having done up to chapter 7 I have had no real problems, except one: Since our customers are Swedish I need the screen names, texts etc to be in

vardir as a symlink
hi, i''m playing with puppet on a few machines, and i''d like to have my puppet vardir on a volume other than the one on which my /var resides. i tried creating a symlink, but puppet seems to blow that away and recreate /var/puppet (!!). i''ve looked around in the source but don''t see anything obvious. am i doing something wrong? thanks, scott

"Real" users AND Virtual users
Dear all, How can I use dovecot for both "real" users and virtual users? I could configure dovecot for real users, by using these lines in /etc/dovecot.conf: default_mail_env = maildir:%h/Maildir auth default { passdb pam { } userdb passwd { } } To accept virtual users, I used these lines: default_mail_env = maildir:/usr/local/virtual/%u/ auth default { passdb sql {
