Automated listing of translations on each wiki page
Dear all, This is a continuation of the discussion on "Link to Chinese translation in Wiki frontpage" dated 7 May 2009. To re-cap, I have suggested that the patch in http://moinmo.in/FeatureRequests/ThisPageInOtherLanguages can be used to automatically generate links to translated pages at bottom right of the wiki panel. In addition, I have proposed that the use of a dictionary to look for translated page names should be dropped from the patch, since our wiki strictly u...

wiki.centos.org .. what's next ?
it's all in the title : what's next for wiki.centos.org ? As a reminder, current wiki.centos.org instance is powered by moinmoin (https://moinmo.in/) but quite an old version (moin-1.5.8-3.el6.noarch) Recently I had a quick look at trying to update/upgrade that version to something newer/supported, but it's a nightmare : the data conversion just kill the target server (oom) and no way to know why. When trying to get h...

FreeBSD wiki offline for a bit
Hey, Due to a security issue in the moinmoin wiki software, the FreeBSD wiki will be offline for a bit. I do not yet know if the issue actually has been exploited in the FreeBSD wiki (haven't had the time yet to examine it), but I took the wiki down just in case. Note that even if the software was compromised, it was considered untrust...

Watch out, 5.5 is coming!
...propriate magic. The wiki can send out notifies, if something changes in the ReleaseNotes hierarchy, so if you want to find out for yourself, when you can start cracking, you should add ".*ReleaseNotes.*" into the "Subscribed Wiki Pages" of your user preferences. See <http://moinmo.in/HelpOnSubscribing> for more information. And again: Thanks to all of you for helping CentOS and for putting work into the release notes and other areas of the CentOS project. Thanks! Ralph

Opening of the Wiki - Part I
...that. So I went ahead and installed the PageComment2 plugin on the development version of the wiki, which allows you to anonymously comment on wiki pages. To minimize spam, I enabled the "global antispam feature" of the wiki, which checks every save against the list at <http://master.moinmo.in/BadContent>. This also is enabled on the real wiki, which means that saving articles might take a bit longer at the moment. I'd like to ask those of you who are in <http://wiki-m.centos.org/EditGroup> to toy around a bit with the comment plugin. There might be some people in there...
