[LLVMdev] Simple Windows Setup Question
...9-mingw32-i386.tar.bz2 llvm-gcc4.2-2.9-x86-mingw32.tar.bz2 (3) Uncompressed the binaries using the MinGW directory as the "root" directory. (4) This worked just fine for the first two archives, with the no file name conflicts, the clang and llvm utility binaries ending up in MingGW\bin and so on. clang-2.9-mingw32-i386.tar.bz2 llvm-2.9-mingw32-i386.tar.bz2 (5) With the last binary archive, I got file name conflicts contrary to the Windows binary install docs (I just canceled the decompression of that archive: llvm-gcc4.2-2.9-x86-mingw32.tar.bz2 (6) Clang...

has anyone compiled win32-utils under mingw?
Since the 1.8.4 One-click installer is based on VC++ 6.0 which is no longer available, I am looking for alternative ways of building win32-utils so as avoid segfaults. Has anyone used MingGW successfully? When I run ruby extconf.rb from MSYS the resulting make file assumes that I am using VC++. Do I need to build ruby under MinGW first? -- John-Mason Shackelford Software Developer Pearson Educational Measurement 2510 North Dodge St. Iowa City, IA 52245 ph. 319-354-9200x6214 john-ma...

timing_sleep malfunctioning under MinGW
Hi, I have successfully gotten the libshout-2.0 release to compile under gcc/MingGW ('gcc -mno-cygwin', version 'gcc (GCC) 3.3.1 (cygming special)'), after applying Leigh Smith's patches as posted on this list (http://www.xiph.org/archives/icecast-dev/0660.html). I have then generated a dll and wrapped it in JNI using the stubs from libshout-java (http://benow....

Rcmd SHLIB on Windows
...rtran script. To do this in R I realize that I need to create a dll for combo.o and that this is supposed to be done using "Rcmd SHLIB combo.f". This is where I run into problems. I have read the "readmepackages.txt", and done all that I believe applies to me: installed PERL, MingGW (fortran compiler), Prof. Ripley's Tools package and set PATH environment variable for all. Then when I ran "Rcmd SHLIB combo.f" I got as far as: Rcmd SHLIB combo.f ar cr combo.a *.o ranlib combo.a gcc --shared -s -o combo.dll combo.def omo.a -LC:/PROGRA~1/R/rw1070...

Perhaps a Complicated Question
My network at home/home office is primarily a Windows environment. However, I have 3 ReadyNAS Ultra machines which use NUT for UPS monitoring. The ReadyNAS devices are running a slightly modified Debian (2.6.37.6.RNx86_64.2.4) with NUT 2.0.5. What I would like to do is add some sort of web-based UPS monitoring on my intranet web server (IIS 7.5 on 2008 R2), however nut-cgi appears to be

[LLVMdev] Windows strategy?
...ch causes a problem. Non-technical: Currently, there is an unofficial policy that is in place limiting what parts of Windows support we're pursuing. Feel free to reach out to me directly for details, but here is a summary of the strategy that I discussed with Doug Gregor and several others: - MingGW and Cygwin in all of their various forms are fine. Patches extremely welcome here, these should be first-class supported platforms. - Documentation is always welcome, and much needed. Please contribute more here. =] - Win64 ABI, mangling, etc. compatibility is fine. Patches are quite welcome here...

Power (^) 10x slower in R since version 1.7.1... What next?
OK, I have made a little search about this "problem" that apparently occurs only on Windows platform... (but I am sure most of you are already aware of it): the slow down is due to the adoption of a different algorithm for pow in mingw 3.x. This is motivated by some other changes in mingw. Here is a quote of Danny Smith that did this change: >When mingw changed default FPU settings

[LLVMdev] Windows strategy?
Hi, [Synopsis: Mikael thinks Windows support is overlooked and that this is a strategic error. You can skip to the next mail now, if you'd like :-) Long, long, long mail follows.] Before I go on, I'd like to informally apologize for my many postings to this mailing list. I have no intentions of spamming it, but I still feel a need to grasp certain things that seem to be implied by the
