Installing 4.4 - problem on 386
...l, because I get the same error always when I boot from hd (Fedora Core), IF there is a CD in the CD-ROM drive. (I tried with CentOS 1/4, CentOS 2/4 and a HP printer software CD.) It must be something with the CD drive! Maybe I just have to try another CD drive. - Jussi H. Mike Fedyk (mfedyk at mikefedyk.com) kirjoitteli (18.1.2007 18:23): try booting with "noapm". Nested MySQL Commands
Is it possible to have nested MySQL queries in extensions.conf? Ie, perform a query, grab a value, and then jump to another location in the dialplan and do another query based on that original value. I'm having problems with the result and fetchid's and I'm not sure if it's even possible to do this or not. Thanks, Doug. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML

FC3 or FC1 (or something else?)
Hi I wish to install asterisk 1.2 (the latest tar.gz from the site ....not the CVS version) on an HP box with a TE110P (single port E1/T1) My question is which OS would be preferred in this configuration Fedora Core 1 or Fedora Core 3, and are there any install guides out there that are recent enough for asterisk 1.2 I am also open to suggestions for other Operating Systems if any of you feel

Mail loop?
Is anyone else getting messages from the lists.digium.com mail server with errors about a mail loop? I've been getting this for the last few weeks, but I don't have any list software on my server. Any ideas?

Quad T1 Card
Ok... I am reluctant to ask this question as I believe that it may be like asking what someones favorite linux distribution is... but I need to make an informed decision. We are getting ready to upgrade from a TE210P to a quad T1 card with echo cancellation. I am trying to decide between the Sangoma card and the Digium card. I need this to have great quality and I need it to work well. I would

TE420P/TE415P?
Hi, I just read a pressrelease from VON that Digium will soon be releaseing a couple of new cards. What got me interested was: "The TE420P and TE415P support 128ms of G.168 (2002)-compliant echo cancellation across their entire 128 channels." Does anyone know when thease will be released and what they will cost when released? Thanks!

Can this config sustain 30 users?
I have this server I need to put to work. The option I have is to make it work as a small office PBX with SIP users and a Digium E1 Card for PSTN service. 24 SIP users and one E1 card in an Intel 945board (533 Front side bus) with 1GB DDR 533mhz of ram, one Pentium Dual Core 2.66 ghz (FSB 533MHZ) and two 80GB SATA disks. Can the box sustain the load? I can add another 1gb of ram if necessary.

Cross-subvolume link causes kernel BUG
Hi. While testing subvolumes in btrfs on 2.6.32.9, I hit a kernel BUG: [ 492.164012] kernel BUG at fs/btrfs/inode.c:4365! The commands to reproduce this bug are as follows: # mount -t btrfs /dev/sda5 /scratch # btrfsctl -S subvol /scratch # date > /scratch/date # ln /scratch/date /scratch/subvol/ ln segfaults, and the bug above is found in dmesg. Subsequent accesses to the subvolume

Port multiplier support in megaraid* module for LSI LOGIC LSI00042 PCI-X SATA II Controller?
I have tried many permutations of search terms in google and I haven't been able to find any confirmation that the megaraid* modules in centos4 supports port multipliers/multiplexers. Here is a link to the controller I have in mind at newegg: http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16816118032 In case anyone is interested, here is what my research has turned up when looking for

Good ATAs from companies other than Sipura/Linksys?
First of all, I'm not knocking Sipura/Linksys. I have heard very good things about their products. I'm just wondering if they are the only quality shop on the market. I know about the zoom 5801 where you can't dial out the FXO from SIP, only from the FXS port. And I have heard similar about the HT-488 also. I want to know if anyone else makes ATAs where all of the features work

What ever happened to the LTAPI, the Linux Telephony API?
Hi, I've just been going through the various modules that are autoloaded to see what I need and what I don't and came across chan_phone.so which loads /etc/asterisk/phone.conf. I did a lookup on voip-info and google and came across this article in Linux Journal from 2001. Anyone know why it isn't being used much (from what I can tell) and what's happening with it today?

Disk accounting with LVM Snapshots
Hi, I was reading a lot of data from one LVM logical volume and wanted to watch the disk statistics with iostat today. To my surprise, I was seeing the same activity on two logical volumes (LV) and the physical disk containing the two. A little investigation showed that one LV was a snapshot of the other, and I was reading from one of the snapshots. While I understand that the two LVs

Wiki Voip Phone reviews
Hi, We have a page on the wiki just for phone reviews, but I think it needs a bit of format change. Instead of individual reviews for each phone, I think each person should review all phones they have worked with and list the phones they have had access to and rank them in relation to each other. Also each review should have a date so the reader can see how fresh the data is to current.
