can't send email from my new centos 8
Hello to all! I apologize in advance, for the following could be too simple, but I can't figure it out. I configured a vps using centos 8, all is working fine but I'm not able to send email from this server. I tried $ telnet smtp.mailtrap.io 25 but it doesn't work yet $ telnet www.google.ca 80 does work and particularly $ telnet smtp.mailtrap.io 2525 does work too. I temporarily disabled the firewall, and selinux, but no luck. Can anyone provide any pointers? Thanks in advance, -- Victor PS: I'm sorry if there were English...

CDR logging in /var/log/asterisk instead of MySQL DB
Hi, I've just reinstalled Asterisk 1.2.3 on a fresh system and since I've noticed that the CDR logging in MySQL (on a different computer) has stopped. I thought it wasn't logging anything at all, but I realized after a bit of searching that there were log files in /var/log/asterisk/cdr_custom and /var/log/asterisk/cdr_csv with up to date logs. My cdr_mysql.conf is set up

Yes I did. Fair question. I think it`s working, but is there anyway to know for sure? Show modules show app_cdr.so as existing... iLBC issue: An ilbc frame that isn't a multiple of 50 bytes long from RTP (38)
Hello all, I've started implementing iLBC on some of the ATAs we have floating around clients' homes, but I'm coming against this error message with most of them: codec_ilbc.c: Huh? An ilbc frame that isn't a multiple of 50 bytes long from RTP (38)? The ATAs in question are various Grandstream models - the HT486 being the predominant one. Looking at the list archives, it's

CISCO 1760 with 1 BRI
hi, My question is may be a bit out of scope but I don't know where to turn, I have a 1760 with a ccme 24 user licences 1 bri card. I want to configure a bri card in a cisco 1760 on port 0/0, the card is new, seen by the router, show isdn status gives layer 1 desactived , layer not activated, what ever I do, no shutdown command / shutdown command, etc , the green OK light never turn on,

OT: VoIP over bonded link
I have to provision several dozen * users to a seperate building on our campus in the same subnet. Ordinarily, I'd just run a gigabit cat6 cable to another switch if it doesn't violate the 100 metre rule, but this building is several hundred metres away from my backbone. My only option for cabling to the remote building is copper. My plan is to provision them with a Linux bridge with 4

Hello, I am unable to get the backgroundrb server to run. Initially I got: /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.0.1/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:263:in `load_missing_constant'': uninitialized constant BackgrounDRb::MasterProxy (NameError) from /usr/local/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/activesupport-2.0.1/lib/active_support/dependencies.rb:453:in
