Since upgrading from Ubuntu 10.10 I have had problems with graphics. The problems started after I initially upgraded to Ubuntu 11.04 but then installed xubuntu-desktop over it, but I have had the same problem all my fresh installs of Xubuntu 11.04 too.
FPS previously averaging about 30 or 35 FPS while playing an OpenGL game with WINE now starts at 20 FPS for 2 or 3 minutes and then slows down to

Cox proportional hazards confidence intervals

was 0.06), so this would appear to me not a good strategy for
reporting my results (mixing the logrank test with the HR and CIs from
coxph).
I can report the Wald p-values instead, but I have read that the Wald
test is inferior to the score test or LR test. My questions for
survival analysis jockeys out there / TT:
1. Should I just stop here and use the wald.p.value? This appears to
be what Stata does with the stcox function (albeit Breslow method).
2. Should I calculate HR and CIs that "agree" with the LR or logrank
P? How do I do that?
Thank you,

Hi all
I have the following models:

The relation table is called disc_jockeys_members and has the following

disc_jockeys_members(disc_jockey_id, member_id, status)
So far, the field status can have values like valid, invalid, locked

residual plots
I've fit a linear model to my data set using the <lm> function. One of the
outputs of that function is a vector of the residuals. I would like to do a
residual plot of this data versus a predictor variable, but the length of
the residual vector is shorter than the length of the predictor variable
vector. This is because when <lm> computes the residual vector, it deletes
entries

Howdy,
Not sure, but it appears that OpenSSH_4.3p1 on solaris creates
bad wtmpx entries during login?
mgoebel pts/5 Wed Dec 31 19:00 still logged in
It is creating entries for Dec 31st 1969.
Thanks,

I thought wine didn't support direct3D and that was why I was

TMC publishing are calling asterisk installers (I'm not one, but they probably got my name from the asterisk lists) asking about asterisk installations, how many installs per month, how many employees in the company etc etc
Unfortunately the call center jockey didn't know which vendor was paying for he suvery but i bet someone is

hl2.exe and fermi=bad?
I cant for the life of me launch ANY of the source engine games. The only game i got working is WoW. I tried everything on the bug list, still no hope. Is the GTX 465 unsupported by wine? Im new with ubuntu btw so im not sure, but i never had this problem with 9.x ubuntu with my 8600m GT.
It could also be AMD? This guy here cant get the game to work too.

Asterisk not sending bye message to original UA
I am trying to use asterisk for an shared line gateway. When moving
from one phone by placing
the call on hold then having a second phone pickup that held call by
sending asterisk a replaces header
(http://www.ietf.org/rfc/rfc3891.txt) Asterisk does not seem to send a
"bye" message to the original UA leaving the first phone stuck in a
holding state. Am I missing something here? Here

openssh-4.1p1.tar.gz.asc has bad signature?
Hi,
#tcsh#machine# gpg --verify openssh-4.1p1.tar.gz.asc openssh-4.1p1.tar.gz
gpg: Signature made Wed May 25 08:26:24 2005 EDT using DSA key ID 86FF9C48
gpg: BAD signature from "Damien Miller (Personal Key) <djm at mindrot.org>"
I made sure that I had the same key loaded that the signature was
made with, but that didn't change the error.
Thanks,
Matt

Question/concern about bsm auditing option on solaris
Hello,
I downloaded and compiled the Mar 2, 2005 snapshot and compiled it with
bsm auditing for solaris turned on. I've been noticing about a dozen or
so of the following messages per day now. Not sure exactly what it is, or
if it is a big issue.
Mar 3 13:46:10 machine_name sshd[15298]: [ID 800047 auth.crit] fatal: mm_request_send: write

Competing risks Kalbfleisch & Prentice method
Dear R users
I would like to calculate the Cumulative incidence for an event
adjusting for competing risks and adjusting for covariates. One way to
do this in R is to use the cmprsk package, function crr. This uses the
Fine & Gray regression model. However, a simpler and more classical
approach would be to implement the Kalbfleisch & Prentice method (1980,
p 169), where one fits cause

one opinion about searching samba docs for answers
It sure is hard to find info in the documentation/mailing list for a
specific error. If an error log message was created by smbd, nmbd, or
winbind, shouldn't the documentation contain a description, cause, and
possible solution?
Specific case in point:

Hi, does anyone know the prices for g729 codecs from Digium? I sent an

Prices are per unit or volume?
Thanks,
