Lost transaction log file in alpha2
...pretty uneventfully for several weeks. I upgraded to
alpha2 a couple of days ago and have since suffered two incidents of
"Lost transaction log", resulting in the client being unable to
access the mailbox until I "rm dovecot.index.log*"

I should point out that this is a server with a single imap user

Error in rename uidlist while fetching through pop3
My dovecot server seems to randomly begin giving errors to pop3 users
who try to fetch their email. Once this begins, they see no more new
mail, though the mail is in cur.
Running: dovecot-stable 20050501, Mac OS X 10.3.9
Log entries like this:

Issue building rc6 on Mac OS X (quota)
I haven't had time to put together a patch, but quota-fs.c fails to
compile on Mac OS X.
Any chance we could get a configuration switch that says "--without-
quota"? I've resolved the problem temporarily by forcing
HAVE_FS_QUOTA to undef in quota-fs.h.

rsync -vt shows directories considered?
Passing the -t option to rsync seems to cause -v to show each directory
that is considered, while -v without -t doesn't.
Is this a known bug or intended feature? Or is there a way to defeat
this? I'd like -v to show the files transmitted, but not the
directories that were considered.
This command:
rsync -urzCv ./ desthost:/path
...shows only the files transferred.

Something other than dotlock for uidlist locking?
If I read the code correctly, only dotlocks are supported for locking
of dovecot-uidlist. And I don't see any settings in the config file
for it.
As it turns out, dotlocks are very slow on my system, due to their
implementation via hardlinks.
Would it be possible to support other locking mechanisms for locking
of the uidlist file?
