Problems authentication with NT PDCs in security = se rver (was security = user)
...right now. At any rate, I don't think you're going to be able to achieve what your after. I think it'll be a one or the other kinda thing - either adding the machine to the domain, or adding local user accounts. Problems authentication with NT PDCs in security = se rver (was sercurity = user)
...se Winnind to authenticate users from the Windows PDC - I have no UNIX users. Have you looked at this? I've got an informal HOWTO if you'd like it. Thanks, Kevin L. Problems authentication with NT PDCs in security = server (was security = user)
...an't retrieve *any* info about the domain computers or the Domain itself while in this mode. Other than adding the machine to the domain, you're probably stuck adding Unix users - and keeping up with password changes. Segfault at debug
I am (once again) trying to find just *why* TaxAct will not run under Wine. So this time I wanted to follow some instructions I got back in Dec 2003 on debugging a program ("TaxAct, wine 20031212" in the archives). Of course, I found they were for the older method of editing the config file and then adding a "wine --debugmsg +relay,+file -- ..." command line, wnich I

Regarding eBay tools
recently someone had posted a question about running eBay's TurdboLister under Wine. Just recently a Mono-based auction tool project has been started, so perhaps you'll want to keep an eye on that as well. fno-stack-protector
For a long time now, I've been compiling Wine with the "-fno-stack-protector" parameter. I don't remember just what it was supposed to fix & how long ago I had to add it, but I was wondering if it's still needed with the current state of the source code. Currently compiling using GCC 4.1, Ubuntu 7.10.

Winrash
Is the winrash utility ("A simple windows service originally designed for the Wine project to facilitate automated testing") still in use? Since I end up running Windows all day long on my system at work (not presently in a unix-related job), I figured I could at least make better use of the system by running Winrash and letting the developers experiment with their API

push-pop ordering error found in memdisk
H. Peter Anvin, The following problem came to my attention with memdisk. I cannot claim the credit, but wanted to be sure the information made it back into the program for the benefit of all users... In file memdisk.asm, in respect of the operation of the raw and bigraw options, the order of pop instructions does not correspond to the order registers are pushed;
