I'm re-posting this message for 2 reasons: 1) I like to help people with problems I've nutted out; 2) I don't often get to help others out because I'm not much of a seasoned Linux user. :) ---------------------------- Anthony (aslan@ispdr.net.au) ----------------------------

acl support for RedHat 7.1
...e tell me where I can find the "acl-devel" package I've been reading about in the archives of this mailing list? If an rpm for RedHat 7.1 exists, that would be awesome. If there's only a .tar.gz, that's OK too. Thanx in advance! ---------------------------- Anthony (aslan@ispdr.net.au) ----------------------------

Currently I've got my w2k machines set up as a workgroup and simply set up Samba as a member of that workgroup. My problem is that I cannot connect to it. I see my samba box in my network neighborhood, however, I cannot browse it. I'm running Samba 2.2.2 that came with

Hi all, I have Samba 2.2.2 running on a Linux 7.1 box. 4 machines connected to a WinNT Server via a hub. The 4 machines are WinNT Server, WinNT Workstation, Win2000 and Linux running Samba Server. With Samba running (see testparm for samba configuration details) I can logon and access files on the Linux machine using the WinNT Workstation but cannot access the Samba server using the WinNT Server
