isolinux/el torito
hello
a while ago i posted a question about my troubles remastering isolinux
bootable cds. after that Steffen Winterfeldt helped me out a lot and now
my problems are gone.
i wrote a document about my experiences and i thought i'd share it with

and since i'm in pimping mode, my interest in isolinux is purely because
of iso master ( http://littlesvr.ca/isomaster ). give it a shot, if you

iso size?
I've been being told, over and over, by K3B, Brasero, and
Isomaster, on two machines, with three different downloads of 6.0, that
the file is too large for the medium. Nautilus and the browser that die
each download all say it's 4.4 GB; I've tried with two +R and an RW DVD,
all of which are labelled 4.7 GB Two of the files are 32-bit, and one is
64...

OT: Question on running command from boot menu

The above system does seem to work in my limited test, and it would be
rather simple to modify the isolinux.cfg or other using isomaster or similar
windows program.
Wondering if I am missing anything in this, or warnings that might need to be
included.

Creating an alternitive install CD for CentOS 5.2 (w/ patched mkinitrd)
I need to be able to install CentOS 5.2 on a machine with software RAID
(and LVM) setup. I discovered (the hard way!) that there is a bug in
the mkinitrd package that causes it to enter an endless loop when there
are /dev/mapper/ devices present during the install process. There is a
patch to mkinitrd, which I applied and created a new rpm for mkinitrd
with this patch applied. I'd like to
