Are there any considerations to take in account when faxing from analog to SIP using ULAW? The problem we're having is faxes are only making it halfway, getting cut off. Neither fax machine seems to report an error. Pretty diagram: FXS --> SIP --> PSTN Provider --> FAX ^ULAW

Has anyone tried using a debit/credit card terminal as such: Terminal <-> SPA-2000 <-> Public Internet <-> * <-> PRI I'm hoping someone will tell me they have done this successfully and rarely experience dropped calls. Though I'd like to hear from anyone who has tried and failed as well. Thanks, Trevor Peirce

I'm unable to get faxes working over tdm400p (4fxs modules) Too many errors sending and receiving faxes with an analog fax 1) echocancel=no on the zap channels 2) ztmonitored the channel for a good/low audio volume I'm trying to send fax between zap fxs channels. No way to get it working right Has someone else the same problem?

I'm running asterisk CVS HEAD from 20040601 with spandsp 0.0.1k and libtiff 3.6.0 (no other copies are installed). I've put the audio files up at http://www.mixdown.ca/~andrew/dump/akohlsmith-faxsegfault.tgz -- the machine I am faxing from is a Canon IR3300 printer/copier/fax, but I get similar crashes from $29.95 fax machines too. :-) I'm trying to get a decent backtrace but my corefiles are always stripped.
