New sounds also now in CVS
The soundfiles I submitted earlier today have been cleaned up, and added to the Digium CVS server in a more formal manner. Also, some of the really bad formatting in my .txt description file has been rectified. All of the sounds on my website are now on the Digium site, and I will be submitting future changes via patches to Digium for additional sounds. Ideas welcome for more text; I may

G.729 reduces the call to 8Kbps (of course normal IP overhead adds to this number). Many people are using Asterisk

I'm having trouble getting festival to work with asterisk. We are running debian (sarge) and got asterisk from CVS. Here's what I'm using as far as festival goes. Debian (Sarge) gcc version 3.3.4 (Debian 1:3.3.4-3) Connected to Asterisk CVS-HEAD-07/28/04-21:08:19 festival-1.4.3-release.tar.gz speech-tools_1.2.3.orig.tar.gz I got patches for both of these.
