locking "issue"
Dear list,
I personally think this is a non-issue, but I may be incorrect. If it is a
non issue I need to find a way to get some communication going on making it
evident to the devlopers of a software program.
I have strict locking = YES (which is by default set to NO) set
and I have been repeatedly told that there is a locking issue within SAMBA.
I don't believe this is the case as we are

samba v2.0.3/Solaris 2.5.1/HP-UX 11.0/Rational ClearCase v3.2.1
...one currently supporting any versions of Rational's
ClearCase/samba/UNIX/NT?
We are currently running samba v2.0.3 on both HP-UX 11.0 (vob server) and
Solaris 2.5.1 (view server). Rational ClearCase v3.2.1 on the two UNIX and
NT Workstation 4 (some SP3, some SP4) We currently support UNIX/NT

Any key build/compile or install/configuration issues for either sam...

solutions we have evaluated are NFS clients that can be installed on
Windows, in order to access data from UNIX server through NFS. The 2
solutions we have evaluated are Hummingbird NFS Maestro and Intergraph
Disk Access (also available through MS Services For UNIX).
We are not recommending the use of Samba based solutions : you report a
data corruption issue at <COMPANY X>; I have

drbd using zfs send/receive?
hi everyone,
I am planning on creating a local SAN via NFS(v4) and several redundant
nodes.
I have been using DRBD on linux before and now am asking whether some of
you have experience on on-demand network filesystem mirrors.
I have yet little Solaris sysadmin know how, but i am interesting
whether there is an on-demand support for sending snapshots. I.e. not
via a cron job, but via a
