[LLVMdev] Does loop vectorizer inquire about target's SIMD capabilities?
Nadav (or anyone who is familiar with the loop vectorizer),
Does the current loop vectorizer inquire about the SIMD capabilities of the
target architecture when it decides whether it is profitable to vectorize a
loop? I am asking this because I would like to have loop vectorization
disabled for targets that don't support SIMD instructions (for example,
standard mips32). Loop vectorization

Yes, it uses a cost model to determine the profitability of vectorization. At the moment only x86 provides the necessary hooks that are needed for calculating the costs. We may need to change the cost defaults to

The loop vectorizer is now enabled by default.

inquire
I am looking for the binary rw1051. I have some code that will only run in version 1.5.1 and I need to install the old binary code. Is there a repository for previous R versions?

Inquiring about status of version 1.x
Hi,
I've been running dovecot for awhile (about 18 months now) and I am very
happy with it. I am currently planning an upgrade for the office server
and I am wondering how is 1.0 going?
Is it stable enough for production? I read a thread in the list from
may 5th talking about the stability, and it seemed pretty decent.
Anyways just looking for a bit of feedback on the evolution of 1.0

inquire if SIP connections are active or not
Is there a way to ask asterisk from a shell script if its connection (SIP)
is valid to another system. Lets say for example to cisco call manager?
Thanks,

Security article on The Inquirer
...crosoft cerebrates fifteen years of poor security". But
it's about more than Microsoft's security. It talks about buffer
overflows, memory separation, OpenBSD's data "canary", etc. I think it's
a good read for anyone interested on this kind of stuff.

I thought that was just a temporary arrangement to get the feel for it, not
to actually have it on all the time (next release). Is it just for -O3 or
lower too?
This can cause problems, for instance on ARMv7, the default is that NEON is
present, but Tegra2 doesn't

AS5400 E1 SS7
Hi,
Would just like to inquire if anyone here has a setup of asterisk to send traffic to AS5400 connected to an SS7-PRI.? this is more of a AS54 question, as i've been reading and i always stumble upon PGW2200 as a requirement to handle SS7 signaling on the AS54. Has anyone able to send calls from asterisk to an as 54 with SS7-PRI without PGW2200?
TIA

question on queues
I have been looking for a way from the dialplan to inquire if there are
any members in a queue.
So what I want to do is if no users are members of a queue then I can
send the call to a given extention.
I have the queue setup all that is working. Just need to be able to send
the call to a certain user if
no-one is logged into the queue. How do I do that?
Thanks

Printers and other stuff
Well.. okay. Only printers.
I am still having issues (pains, actually) getting my pritner shares to
work from either Linux OR Windows 2000. One of the things I see here is
that the majority of users use CUPS as the printing daemon. From my
previous Unix experieince, I have gravitated towards BSD as my printing
daemon.
Could this be the reason I am having trouble> Does Samba work better

[LLVMdev] Indirect call site profiling
Hi All,
We've been working on enhancing LLVM's instrumentation based profiling by
adding indirect call target profiling support. Our goal is to add
instrumentation around indirect call sites, so that we may track the
frequently taken target addresses and their call frequencies.
The acquired data has uses in optimization of indirect function call
heavy applications. Our initial findings

CentOS 7 AMI Building
Hello,
I'm new to this list, but I noticed a post from March 30th inquiring about
the build scripts for the official CentOS7 AMIs. I'm also interested in
this; I'm tasked with (unfortunately) spinning up some VMs in our corporate
VMWare environment that are "as close as possible" to the official CentOS7
AMIs. I could attempt to reverse-engineer them and figure out all of the
