complex matrix manipulation question
I've done stuff like this before but
it's been a while and I'm stuck.
Suppose I have a matrix with one
column x and another column y
and both are numeric and let the
row index of the matrix be i
Starting at index i ( i would equal on the first iteration )
when the cumulative sum of x_i+1 - x_i
is greater than W = some constant, I want to mark that spot in the
row, call it i^* and

MDKSA-2000:023 inn update
...__________________________________________________________________
Problem Description:
A vulnerability exists when verifycancels is enabled in
/etc/news/inn.conf. This vulnerability could be used to gain root
access on any system with inn installed. This new version also does
not install inews as setgid news or rnews as setuid root. Many other
security paranoia fixes have been made as well.

Union/Intersect two continuous sets
Dear All,
It is my first time using this mail list to post a question. And I
sincerely hope that this will not bother any subscribers.
So far as I know, there are functions like union( ), which can help to
combine two sets of discrete data. But what if the data sets are with
continuous data. For instance, I got three sets like [2, 4], [5, 6], [3.4,
5.5]. I wonder if there is a quick solution to

umask problems, etc.
Three quick notes--
1) Umask defaults to 000 when running an xterm or gnome-terminal on redhat
6.0, unless you run a login shell. This is a Bad Thing.
2) The binary package for the inews-2.2.1-1 update released 9/1/99 isn''t
on the redhat updates site; inn and inn-devel are insufficient. I had to
compile the SRPM.
3) Nothing. There is no third note.

corrupt rpm problem
Here is the output from yum -y upgrade without the error parts...
Its odd because it updated all of these first time round. I have dared
reboot the box yet, for fear it won't come back up...
